Either of these would be a nice backup. Is Spike a true PG?

This is getting ridiculous.
Anderson and Tollefsen were good enough guys, but the program didn't get any more out of them than Boston College or San Francisco did.
What makes Albrecht or Reinhardt think there will be better schools knocking down their door?

Reinhardt will get some looks. He was a productive player on a good team. I can see a lot of people being interested.
Albrecht retired due to a hip condition in December. I'm not 100% where he's going with this.

I don't know who he is, but just looking at stats (and trying to balance for conference strength) my tongue in cheek answer he's a better PG transfer prospect than Derryck Thorton...and he'd probably be here longer (his full redshirt plus two played).
Again it's tongue in cheek, but still...

I forget which thread, but there's discussion on the main board. My thoughts: seems to score via a lot of 3's and not much else. A lot of assists and a very high usage rate indicate Delaware had the ball in his hands a ton.
You never know how guys like that translate to the likely role here, which involves him having the ball a whole lot less.

This Holden guy or PJC, who is better?

Reinhardt wants to play a role like Jimmer Fredette had at BYU. He was a starting SG at UNLV as a freshman and averaged over 30 mpg and transferred because he wanted the ball in his hands all the time like Jimmer had. Rice was coach at BYU when Jimmer was there and told him that he envisioned him as the same type of player when he recruited him to UNLV. He's way overrated.

Hard to know for sure. I like the 39% on threes. I like the almost 80% ft even though he doesn't shoot them much (because he seems to be a jump shooter) but still good to be able to have your PG shoot it a a good clip at the end of games. Guess would be 4 assists to 2.5 turnovers with a little less usage and better players around him?
Compared to 33% on threes, 69% fts, 2.6 assists to 1.6 turnovers against good competition.
Stats obviously don't tell you everything, but I have a feeling I know which of those I would pick if I knew nothing about where either of them were ranked coming out of high school.

Yeah called it a while ago, probably ends up at UNLV. His dad/family didn't like how he was used at Duke.

It tells you all you should need to know about K. He's not any worse than anyone else, but he's not any better, either. He was definitely "used" at Duke.

With KS and PJC in the mix, I can't really see Thornton at AZ. I didn't really get a chance to watch him play for Duke this year. Any good?

He did not play well at Duke. He was very highly touted in HS and played well. So...

He's probably more of a slow-developing player, which is in no way a criticism. He could be a star down the road. He's from CA, so I'm wondering about Stanford and Cal.

I really don't think PJC is in the mix for anything except for end of the bench.
Is Kobi a one and done? Thornton has to sit out a year anyway. KS may be more of a combo guard anyway, and even if he does stay another year he can play the 2 with Trier most likely gone.

There are better players out there. Nothing about him said anything but Korcheck 2 to me. Now we need to recruit the other guys.

6 and 6 guy in almost 22 minutes per game. 68% FG shooter, 40% FTs. Don't recall seeing him play, might just be a garbage points guy with no plays called for him.

Marcus Lee would have been a great add, to bad we filled the last spots with glue guys. I am not sure why he is transferring since he seems to me like their second best post player behind Bam next year. Although from what I have seen I think Gabriel is a huge project and Sacha is not that great.

I think the reason why he's transferring is because Calipari told him that if he worked on rebounding, shooting in traffic around the basket, and tougher D he'd get more time and plays called for him. When that didn't happen and he kept getting recruited over, he figured it was time for a change. Him and his parents must think that sitting and practicing for a year and then playing his senior year was a better option than watching his minutes dwindle and never seeing the ball in the flow of the offense.

I've wondered if Arizona could get involved. We partially were in his recruitment, it definitely seems lime he is done at Duke and I'd consider him a good addition.
Outside my wonderings, no.
