I wasn't sure where to put this, but it's really a sad story to see a kid so close to the NBA lose it all in such a quick, devastating fashion. He was such a highly rated recruit, I'm sure he thought he was a future NBA player for a while. Then, not only is that dream deferred, it's gone and you can never play again. Geez.

Couldn't feel worse for the kid. Going from 5 days away from your life time goal to being told its never going to happen, especially after all he already fought through with his eye.

Could be a blessing he declared however as this was caught because of it, who knows what might've happened if he played another year at Baylor

My only cynical reaction was when he talked about pushing himself too hard, I thought "that won't happen with Scott Drew coaching you."

It's a blessing that he discovered it during tests instead of having it attack him on the court.
