Illinois barely beat UTRGV. The Cats beat them by 54. They are better than I thought. I can’t believe Illinois is ranked higher than the Cats.

Now if the Zags can emasculate the Dookies like DWill on crank I'll be a happy guy.

Still think Zags come back in this one, but Duke is obviously better prepared and better coached than UCLA was/is.

Its not enough to be unflappable when you play against Puke, you gotta be unfloppable.

Duke was great tonight. Gonzaga turned the ball over more than they have in any game up to this point. Think that was the difference.

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

I wouldn't say smoked. They were down four after being down 18 in the game. Lost by 12 I think. Bama looks tough especially our former recruit that switched when the controversy hit. They are deep as they had 4 guys with 4 fouls.

One takeaway on Zaga so far: Holmgren is not a transcendent player who can single-handedly take over games. Suggs was closer to being that player. This year Banchero is that player.

Illinois takes down #12 (NET) Iowa tonight 87-83 holding Iowa to 8 below its season average. It was also on the road. Illinois was #48 in NET so this should really push them up. Going to be a heck of a game Saturday

Always liked Las Cruces and the Aggies. A basketball town and a scrappy team. They avenged themselves with a shot Mustafa Shakur would envy against the Lobos in ABQ and returned the disrespect for their logo.

Do enjoy watching Batcho getting meaningful minutes though.

The box score is fuuugly. There was a 9 minute stretch in the 2h where a total of 6 points were scored.

They are saving up that shooting for us. They don't always look that bad. Just a terrible shooting night for both teams. What I did notice id that they can be beaten down the court which is good for us.

Had this same thought. When was the last time a good shooting team went ice cold against us? Never. Happens.

Maybe the faster pace will lead to more tired legs, which is never an issue when teams play the pack line.
