What I do mind: Dragging his name after an unsubstantiated claim. Making this claim the cop out. Supposedly deciding to fire before the bowl, letting recruits sign, and then firing him.

They better give every recruit the right to break the LOI.
Lawsuit wasn’t filed until after the bowl.

I think you're wrong on this. I thought I saw we are paying the buy out because the internal investigation found nothing. Correct me if I am wrong.

I agree with Hater, why wait? Don't see any logical reason if the decision was already made.

We're avoiding a lawsuit by paying him every thing he's due. If he's found guilty or not guilty we don't care either way. It was time to get off the shit train.

The timing of the claim seems really suspicious to me. Feelers out to Sumlin, bowl game meltdown, next day the claim is submitted. Maybe I just like conspiracy theories but there are some puzzle pieces that fit.

Maybe, but I wouldn't want to be RR - the accuser has retained legal counsel since October; since then she has not provided any new information to the AD (hence the findings). This is probably on advice from her attorney, and it doesn't mean that there is no legal case. Feeling bad for the team and even a little bit for coach, but Heeke and Robbins alluded that they know more than what was in the official statement. I always wondered if something like this was going on when MS was fired 7 years ago; but nothing ever came out.

Stoops was fired ater 10 straight FBS losses, with decreasing competitiveness in them. While he had his own issues, I don't think there was much under the surface with that one.

There are still coaches out there without jobs and some who are employed but would jump ship.

Having known and interacted with her many times, I think this is her cop out. What happened on the field, yes RR could be a considered a mad man. What happened inside LSFF, some bosses I have had (including mine when I worked for the team) made him look tame.

Agreed but also think it depends on the hire we make. Sumlin? Sure. An up and coming coordinator not named Tee Martin? Not so sure.

Soooo, I don’t get admitting to the affair in his statement. The affair had nothing to do with this Admin who is accusing him. Seemed to come out of left field unless he’s setting up a sex addiction defense or something.

I think it's defensive against that one truth amongst a dozen lies tactic. Sounds like that's the concern (at least from his side).

I read it as it was in the complaint so it was bound to come out. "One thing in the complaint was true". So the admin must have known about it.

Ever seen Devil's Advocate? As long as he's out screwing this other chick he's not screwing his secretary lol. Honestly it's just a way to show that while he's a flawed man he's not a full on son of a bitch that sexually harasses women or at least that's how he's trying to PR it.
