Arizona has been at the forefront for a potential move to the Big 12, as it had the most extensive talks with the league prior to the Colorado departure. A move by Arizona to the Big 12 would significantly weaken the Pac-12, putting an unstable league on the brink. And no one realizes this more than Robbins.

"He knows the gravity," said a person familiar with Robbins' thinking. "He does not want to be the one to break apart the Pac-12."

That's why sources say Arizona, Arizona State and Utah -- the Pac-12's remaining three of the so-called Four Corner schools -- are expected to lump their futures together.

As another industry source pointed out: "I don't see any of them having the fortitude to break up the Pac-12 themselves. They'll break as three. It's either going to be all three leave, or none leave."

They just updated the front page mentioning the fee VIP day. I am not shilling for WildcatAuthority. I am not sure I will reup my sub. But it is free today, and it appears today is going to be a very big day. The ABOR is meeting at 3 pm. It is private. I don't think it is a matter of Arizona leaving or not. It is more about if we bring the scummies with us. The real vote will be public. The ideal situation will be bringing the 4 corner schools. PAC-12 ratings were abysmal and there were literally thousands of conference fans who refused to switch to a service that provided access to the network and just didn’t see their teams play unless it was on a pirated stream or they waited until they showed up on ESPN.

Banking on people subscribing to AppleTV’s elevated sports package to up the revenue numbers is just about as dumb as believing that Nigerian prince just needs a small loan to unlock the millions of dollars that have been set aside for you.

Don't really care about the lame sentiment of "conference unity", and program need to follow the money.

But losing the home court advantage in the P12 Tourney in Vegas and the Territorial Cup in football are the biggest secondary negative effects.

I would like to visit those Plains states small college towns, but they are much harder to reach / more expensive to fly to unless you already live nearby. Then again, LA is also sort of bait and switch about how "easy" it is to get around.
