Strange watching TCU vs Stanford last night. I always root for teams in our conference. Had to keep reminding myself

Not surprised with UCONN. Not sure the math works out. UCONN certainly adds value for both men's and women's basketball. But the rest of their athletic department leaves plenty to be desired, and they add travel costs to a good portion of the conference which is centered around the state of Texas.

I think the ACC would be perfect for the Pac 2. Cal and Stanford would finally have some schools they could more easily travel to as well.

Excuse my French, but the PAC 2 can fuck all the way off.

I’m sick of their fans.

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Pac needs two more schools to become an FBS conference again.

I like it. I imagine Cal and Stanford would prefer to be back, but no idea what their costs would be.

PAC must still have bank.

MWC will receive a total of $111 million in exit fees.

They need at least two more to be recognized as a conference - I expect UNLV is high on their shopping list!!

UNLV is a must take and if they can get a Bay Area and LA presence they would have a lot of momentum going forward.

Can’t think of any football programs in those areas (Sac St and maybe revive Long Beach St).

SJSU is certainly Bay Area.

And PAC, quit calling it: California State University Fresno. Sure, legally that's the name but it's Fresno State.

California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo is legally the name, but it's Cal Poly. FCS though, same with UC Davis.

Just realized that the PAC6 are all “____ State”.

UNLV needs to become Las Vegas State. Time for a rebrand!

Ah Merkin, you are right. They should grab them and then Vegas and some kind of an LA presence and add a few more.

Of course if the go the STATE route like Chi suggests, they could be the Great State 8 conference

Add Texas St, Utah St, San Jose St and have UNLV rebrand as Nevada St and Chi is a happy man. PAC 10 is back baby!

What about Chico State?! I’ll contribute to their NIL in a big way if they rebrand as Chicat State.

How long will this crap go on? We’re now at the point where second tier conferences are able to drive major headlines just by calling Overpass State or Subdivision U to gauge their interest. Maybe when it all converges to a single conference housing all 133 teams?

The PAC should have let WSU/ntOSU run the PAC instead of Larry Scott and George K. They are doing work.

I would have bet the house the PAC would have folded by now.

I wouldn't say adding a school with no football program is doing well. Basketball schools aren't going to save them.

And what's wrong with the Big 12? Things are way better now than they were with the Pac.

I'm certainly fine with the B12. No reason the PAC should get ACC money per school, so it makes great financial sense, especially with the financial hole the UA AD is in.

Just speaking for myself, however it was hard to give up the PAC. Elite academic west coast conference, and being The Conference of Champions. Just a little snobbery involved.

Now in a truck stop conference.

And now the PAC picks up schools that the former PAC did not thing were good enough academically. Bully for the PAC!

Hopefully they can get a nice TV contract so we can watch SDSU and Gonzaga.

I for one am a big fan of the Big12.

They rescued our ass. If not for the Big12 to land in we would currently be playing a Mountain West Conference schedule with less than 1/3 of the money coming in (which would have resulted in massive athletic dept. budget cuts and the elimination of a LOT of minor sports)

Our first 6 football game this year have been on ESPN, ESPN+, Fox, ESPN, Fox, Fox

Our first 6 football games last year were on Pac 12, SEC, Pac 12, Pac 12, Pac 12, ESPN

Tell me again how nothing is better with the Big 12.

So then you're arguing against the Pac-12, because the Pac-12 Network was literally streaming quality at best, and in the Big12 we've only played one game on streaming.
