Football is a physical sports and so often the most physical teams win it all. Ohio St, Bama, USC, Auburn etc.

Oregon is just not able to link enough first downs consistently against teams like they play in the championship games. With MM gone, we may not see them back in that game for awhile

Oregon's defense couldn't tackle.

Helfrich is a twit. No discipline, no attention to detail, the Ducks did none of the little things Championship teams need to do. Pathetic really.

Oregon will be a top 6-10 team next year and Ohio State will be scary good. Like 2002 Miami or 2005 USC good.

How does Ohio St. turn the ball over 4 times and Oregon only scores 20 points?

How does that happen?

How much would this game have changed if Oregon didn't drop all those passes is the first half.

What are you basing that on?

15th in opp. points per play. top 30ish in just about every other metric, even the outdated non-sense stuff like yards.

Last night's performance actually dropped them from 84 to 87 in total D. Granted, the hurry-up causes them to be on the field way more than necessary, but they just can't stop physical run offense and haven't been able to since I can remember. They talked about it in the pre-game. Giving up 430 YPG wasn't going to bode well against a physical run attack like Ohio St. that could keep Oregon's O on the sideline and out of rhythm.

Ohio State and Urban Meyer could very well go on a good 2-3 run now with the talent that is on that roster, the talent coming in, y the coaching staff.

Bingo. The day football is not won in the trenches on the highest levels is the day it's no longer American football.

I know, I know, RR has earned money for his assistants and all that...but watching what Oregon did to us compared to what Ohio State did to the Ducks encapsulates how much of a gap there is between championship football programs and Arizona's.

We have to win the physical battle at the point of contact with the best teams if we want to achieve our football dreams. No way around it.

All this really tells me is that the SEC is not good at all and ESPN makes me sick blowing them so hard. The B1G was awful all year but they had a pretty good showing in bowls.

Ezekial Elliot was the best player I saw all season in college football. Doesn't matter who is playing QB for them when you've got a running game like that.

Some think Cardelle Jones might go to the draft after that game. A 3rd string QB to draft pick in just 3 games. Wow.

The Cardinals could take him in like the 5th round and be the backup to Palmer.

Seen on Twitter: Underdog in all 11 games. Went 6-5. They've earned their Rodney Dangerfield impersonations.

Agreed. RBs look really good when they hit the back 7 of the defense full speed untouched every time they run the ball. Not saying Elliot isn't special, but he was running through holes full speed after one cut.

Dislike Ohio State but they are a good team. But I dislike the quacks even more Pac 12 or not I'm glad oregon lost.
I mean I am not complaining but it must suck for good ugly girls.

I completely forgot this game was on yesterday, and didn't hear a thing about it until tonight. As Homer would say, D'oh!

Kinda funny that oregon got trounced.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
