From what I have read, he is supposed to coach in the bowl game. If they win that game, he was fired with a 2017 record of 8-5. Punk move by the AD. I didn't think that AD hire was good, given him having had no previous experience in collegiate athletics management.

I do have a hard time feeling bad for Graham (or typically any fired head coach), considering he's getting paid $11m+ just to go away.

Lol on campus protests against schiano. Tennessee seems to think they should be getting Belicheck or the reanimated corpse of bear Bryant.

Tennessee absolutely has ridiculous expectations but Schiano has zero business ever being a head coach at any level ever again. He is a miserable human being who was hated by players at both the college and pro level. Never should have even been given an interview by Tennessee or any other power five school for that matter. All the other crap about being connected to Sandusky shouldn't even have to be talked about - the guy is just an awful human being.

Don't make your fan base think you're flirting with Brad Stevens and Billy Donovan only to end up with Steve Alford.

That's why you coach at a school with low expectations. You stay employed

So they're just hiring Herm for name brand recognition factor to have him as a symbolic figurehead while they develop their next real coach?

It pleases (and surprises me) that we made a shrewd hire and that we aren't subjugated to trying to find a coach right now with everyone else

That guy Scruggs is out of Dallas so referencing Texas Tech makes sense.

I would bet even money that's RichRod's agent was giving the Tenn AD a call. Or whoever is interim AD there.

Maybe even Heeke was too, maybe toss some cash T's way to sweeten the pot to take RichRod off his hands.

I do too. Thought he got a raw deal at TT, and would have loved for him to come to the UA.

Not saying that putting that kid in the tool shed was a brilliant move, but the punishment did not fit the crime.
