ND gagging a little bit in their game, but there's no way they completely choke.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

Magic of the Irish makes homer calls at Autzen look fair.

Seriously the amount of pull refs give the Irish in South Bend is in another level.

Miss St. just beat 3 top top teams in a row.

They should be the unanimous #1 team.

They are for real.

i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

Alabama made a lot of silly mistakes. Better teams will take advantage of that, then ESPN can promote all they want, but they won't be going anywhere.

Maybe so, but were they really "top top teams" or maybe a function of the preseason SEC ranking nonsense? I do agree that MSU is top 5 this year though.

Yes, two of those teams could have three losses tomorrow.

TAMU's best win was against a now un-ranked 3-3 South Carolina.

LSU's best win was against a now un-ranked Wisconsin.

If Florida holds on, LSU drops to 4-3 AND Florida will likely be ranked... Because, SEC

"Ranked" A&M losing to Alabama 52-0 in the 3rd quarter. They should go up in the rankings after this for having to play such a good team on the road.

I thought you were supposed to schedule a team you can beat for homecoming?

Missou 42, Florida 7 with 11 min still left in the 4th. Where's the puke/you're fired emoticon?

EDIT-Wow this is an amazing box score. Jeff Driskel 7/19, 50 yards 2 picks before he's finally benched. Through 3.5 quarters 36 rushes for 72 yards for Florida? Real nice.

But that isn't even close to the most amazing thing. Through 3.5 quarters Missou has 20 yards passing and 101 yards rushing (and 11 penalties for 74 yards for good measure). Not so amazing if you're getting crushed by 35; fairly amazing when you're up by 35 at Florida.

Seemed obvious to me. It's either holding or PI. The receiver was pretty blatant about it. You can't let that shit slide if you're a ref.

When I saw it live, I agreed. I've watched it like 10 times now, and the DB actually engages the WR and holds onto him for the whole play. Watch the video below. It sure likes like the DB grabs him and never lets go.

I hadn't watched any replays until just now, but I see what you're saying. What you can't see from that angle is what is going on with the WR's right hand when the DB realizes where the pass is going and tries to disengage from him. That's where I thought the hold was. The DB looked like he was trying to disengage but was being held onto.

From that angle it doesn't look like he's running a route. Just blocking.

In your previous post you mentioned his right hand....from this angle you can see his right hand is tucked inside while the DB is bear hugging him around both shoulders. How is this not defensive holding? I agree he seems to be content moving forward....probably because it is a designed pass to the outside and the DB is trying to tackle him.

The only thing I can guess is that since they are within the five yards of the line of scrimmage where DBs can make contact with receivers, the contact on the defensive side is legal. Although I would say that the DB does wrap up.

Tough call there. Probably not one I would have made. I can't tell who is getting the advantage of the contact except for the result of the play. And maybe that's what the ref was looking at. The guy is so wide open that you almost convince yourself it was the result of an illegal pick or block.

No doubt. Obviously the ref doesn't have the luxury of looking at screen caps and youtube slow motion 10 times. When I watched it live I said out loud "that's a pick, pass interference."

Me too. Saw the play live plus one replay and it looked like the right call. Watching it again and again, now I'm not sure. I can definitely see why the ref would throw the flag. And I don't think it's some kind of blatant screw job like all of the ND fans around here are saying. They would like a Watergate-style investigation of who paid off the ref.

Watching live I thought it was the right call.

Now that I have seen in again and again, I think it should have been a no call (although I get why it was called).

To me looking at it again, #8 for FSU for sure holds #20 NDU the entire time. Now the tricky part. It looks like #7 NDU is blocking #3 FSU, but it appears that #3 FSU engages first and grabs first.

Teams are 147-2 over the last 10 years when allowing less than 120 yards of offense.

Both losses are by Muschamp at UF.

I think its safe to say that you can stick a fork in Will Muschamp. Dan Mullen will be roaming the UF sidelines next year. I don't think MSU can match Florida's pay package.
