At some point Dykes is going to have to develop a defense.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Too much time left for the upset.
Re: Pac 12 Game Thread
I hate that our Utah game is in SLC in late November, 6 days before ASU.
I really like our team and their resillience, but that game stands out when looking at possible traps.

Whew, that was close. I was afraid the refs gifted UCLA the win, but the right team won.
And then there was one undefeated Pac 12 team.

Re: Pac 12 Game Thread
So two unranked teams go into LA and beat two ranked teams with their backup quarterbacks. Zany.
Right where I want to be.

In addition to Arizona being the last undefeated team in the PAC-12, who had the Cal-Wazzu winner in first place in the North at this point?

All of the ranked pac12 teams (4) lost this week.gumby wrote:So two unranked teams go into LA and beat two ranked teams with their backup quarterbacks. Zany.
::::
And if cal beats wash st....then every pac12 team that played at home will have lost this week.

Holy Moly, we're about to be the talk of the PAC12. Five games into the season and we control the road to the South Division Championship.
No more excuses, it time for Arizona to call the shots for a change.

Re: Pac 12 Game Thread
Really shaky refs in this Wazzu game.
And it cost Halliday an injury.

Re: Pac 12 Game Thread
why didn't wash st. go for the 2 point conversion?
what's the difference between being up 4 or 5? a td beats you without a PAT.
why not go for the 2 points, get up 6, then at least you have a chance even if cal scores a td?
::::edited, cause, it's wash st. not utah lol.

Re: Pac 12 Game Thread
The PAC12 is a giant "meat grinder" from top to bottom. This is beyond brutal and if you win this thing you deserved all the accolades you get.
How the PAC12 Champs couldn't be considered for the play offs is beyond anything I can reconsile.

According to the ESPN commentators, Utah really really really REALLY trusts their field goal kicker.PieceOfMeat wrote:why didn't utah go for the 2 point conversion?
And Cal just hilariously took the lead. This is the best college football day in quite some time.

Yeah, but now their fg kicker can only tie it if cal makes their 2pt conversion.AZCatGirl wrote:According to the ESPN commentators, Utah really really really REALLY trusts their field goal kicker.PieceOfMeat wrote:why didn't utah go for the 2 point conversion?

(ok, didn't matter, since cal failed at it, and wash st. is only down 1 now)

Re: Pac 12 Game Thread
If Connor Halliday can mount a final drive for the Cougars, he'll have thrown for more than 700 yards and likely have broken the single-game FBS passing record.
Wow.
