Not performance related. One report said he was verbally abusing players, another said he made injured kids play and that there will be lawsuits.Coop Cat wrote:Kevin Wilson OUT at Indiana
Certainly wouldn't condone playing injured guys but this guy, like the fat man at Kansas, got them their best results. As for Oregon, I do think they need to look at a guy like Chip again. His biggest issue is he cheats and I am sure Knight doesn't want to win a ship and then have to vacate itCoop Cat wrote:Kevin Wilson OUT at Indiana
One allegation I saw was mainly that he ignored concussion protocol and had players play through concussions without diagnosis.Chicat wrote:Not performance related. He's a really good coach, but I guess they really paid all that money to get rid of Helfrich immediately. Feel like Taggart or someone like him would have been available next year.wyo-cat wrote:Someone enlighten me...Chicat wrote:
I heard they had unlimited resources to hire someone with Knight footing the bill up to $10 mil annually. Seems underwhelming to me.
No you wouldn't because Oregon put themselves in this situation. Ask yourself who want to go to Oregon when they just fired a winning football coach on one bad season.CalStateTempe wrote:I'd be concerned if I was Oregon fan. Underwhelming
I think you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. USF fans are hoping this is a bad dream. Taggart was about to take them places.CalStateTempe wrote:I'd be concerned if I was Oregon fan. Underwhelming
Taggart is pretty good. He's comparable to McIntyre at CO. Skip Holtz left a dumpster fire that took a lot of cleaning up, but Taggart has been building them constantly in the right direction.ASUHATER! wrote:Taggart? Meh. 40-45 as a coach. 1 season with more than 8 wins. No bowl wins. Oregon fans probably thought they'd get a much bigger name.
Doesn't RichRod have a home in Florida? Recruiting contacts in Florida? Win win situation for all parties.OSUCat wrote:

Does it matter? OC for Alabama is about as prestigious as an assistant can get.Sid wrote:What will Saban do with Cutty now.....?
Maybe it does? I mean, I honestly can't think of a better place to be while battling alcoholism! I've been to Alabama and I can personally tell you those boys & girls can drink like no other. They take it to another level down in the South.Spaceman Spiff wrote:Does it matter? OC for Alabama is about as prestigious as an assistant can get.Sid wrote:What will Saban do with Cutty now.....?

I think he's a smarmy prick and it just oozes out of his pores. ADs probably can't stand to be in the same room as him.Spaceman Spiff wrote:The off field issues have to be bad. I doubt this is much surprise to anyone, but since there's an actual article on it...Chicat wrote:I think he's a smarmy prick and it just oozes out of his pores. Though Kiffin’s name was brought up for multiple jobs across the last three years, nearly all of it was speculation and smoke rather than genuine interest in him. One person with knowledge of the matter, who had investigated Kiffin for a job, said reference calls to people who worked at USC and Tennessee basically rendered him unhireable.
really? haha. i guess he is the father of uconn football. had like 5 8-9 win seasons there in 12 years. then stunk it up at maryland.Coop Cat wrote:Randy Edsall returns to UConn
It's like a husband and wife splitting to date other people, striking out miserably then returning to each other. Essentially Tobias and Lindsay's relationship from seasons 1-2 of Arrested Development.ASUHATER! wrote:really? haha. i guess he is the father of uconn football. had like 5 8-9 win seasons there in 12 years. then stunk it up at maryland.Coop Cat wrote:Randy Edsall returns to UConn
