I thought they were going to redo the bowls in 3 years and eliminate some of the lower tier bowls? Was I dreaming?

The pinstripe bowl is a bowl I wish the PAC could get a tie into as it would give us the schools and conference some east coast presence.

Seeing NYC over the holidays isn't a bad thing either

You must love wall-to-wall crowds and long lines...

I stay away from the city during the holiday period for good reasons.

It has some cool, unique experiences. A lot of people think that.

At least it's a destination and you don't have to try to pump your team up by telling them that they worked the whole year just to get here, when here is Shreveport, LA.

The "having a presence" stuff is so overrated. Going to take a lot more than a forgettable bowl appearance to get noticeable attention from the urban East Coast.

Speaking of forgettable bowls, tuning into the just kicked-off Birmingham Bowl now.

It is a great accomplishment to qualify for and win any bowl game. That is why coaches get bonuses based on them.

Colorado looks like we did in the Holiday bowl vs Nebraska, the Alamo vs. Oklahoma state and the Fiesta vs. Boise state.

The first 2 examples I agree with but our game vs. Boise State was much closer than yesterday's Okie St blowout of the Buffs. Although Az fell behind early they rallied to almost tie it up in the last minute not to mention we had almost 500 total yards in that game.

Seems Oklahoma State loves to feast on Pac teams in Bowl games. Since crushing us in 2010 they have beaten Stanford, Washington and Colorado as well.

It's a rare honor bestowed on a select majority of D1 football programs every year.

Jake Browning is another shitty Boise State system QB. Embarrassed for the conference that this guy was POY.

And JFC Lane Kiffin is a terrible coach.

So if Penn St beats down USC after Ohio St got drug by Clemson, shouldn't the guys who picked a team that couldn't win there own conference be fired?

Well they also put in a team whose best win was at home against the #18 team in the final rankings (although it was a beatdown) & needed OT to beat the worst team in their conference on the road.

There will be some complaining, but regardless - the 2 best teams in college FB are playing for the Natty - and that would not have changed regardless of who #3 and #4 were.

Well at least you had the chutzpah to go on record with your prediction, but it is not looking so good at the moment.

If this continues and ends this way, there will be plenty of squawking from PSU fans. Regardless - good on them for coming out to play and making a statement. Based on the way UW and tOSU played, with PSU and USC's late season wins against both those teams, they have an argument.

They'll enjoy this win; most I know did not want to face off against Bama anyway.

But it raises the age old question: Should selections be made based on body of work, or who the best teams are at the end of the season?

What. the. fuck.

That's two huge calls replay has gotten clearly wrong, both hugely to USC's detriment.

Apparently repeatedly throwing Hail Mary's to the opponents 30 yard line is a bad idea. UW and USC are going to be legit playoff contenders next year.

And it's always good when PSU loses.
