What an awesome lineup of college football games this weekend. Literally like 7-8 games I really want to watch and so many games that potentially will impact the Playoffs later this year.

Its weekends like this that further make me realize how much better College Football is compared to College Basketball. I truly think College football has it figured out where there is so much importance in regular season games and each weekend has major games that could dictate National Championship hopes. College Basketball is basically wake me up in March now, NBA is wake me up in May, same with most sports I guess.

I know many here disagree but man I love College football

You should know though that this year features the most ranked matchups of any opening weekend in like 15 years. So I'd wait to see if this is a trend over a few years before declaring that College Football has figured out that fans want to see top tier matchups early.

True this weekend is a lot better then most opening weekends but still there are always many great non-conference games every year in the Month of September that have major implications on the National Title race and mean something.

Every weekend in College football there seems to be at least one major game that can impact the final rankings.

Think about our game against BYU, a win or loss in that game can dramatically affect our entire season. We win then I think we all feel good about our chances this year, we lose I think Fan apathy will be strong. Other sports, its about making the playoffs and getting hot at the right time of year which is fine but makes for more boring regular seasons.

South Carolina looks awful. Maybe RR dodged a bullet, of course Muschamp sucks as a coach

Houston with a missed FG return for TD, wow that was gutsy. Never seen that done in the middle of a quarter. Incredible return though, better than Auburn's kick six I think. Returner actually reached up to keep it from going out the back of the end zone. Had to hurdle a teammate on the sideline too.

Houston now has a great chance to run the table and get into the playoff.

SEC getting off to a rough start. Man if UCLA and SC can win, watch out

And then Wisconsin stopped caring

Edit 60 minutes later: What an odd game, but Wisconsin finally put together a good offensive possession, and then Brandon Harris screwed up what Fournette did to win the game.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I hope Penn State loses every game from now until the end of time...

...and then at the end of time God judges the Penn State football program and damns it to hell for eternity.

Go Pitt!

They just explained on tv that central Michigan shouldn't have even been able to run that play. The officials called the intentional grounding incorrectly.

And I don't care about the penalty, screw OSU. Plus they handled that in a stupid way.
