football playoff and bowl wins

this was brought up on the main rivals board...how will playoff wins be treated in a school's history or as far as trophies and stuff go?

if you win the rose bowl and then the title game, will you get a title game trophy and a rose bowl trophy? will you be called the 2014 rose bowl champions (like how michigan state was the 2013 rose bowl champions), or will the rose bowl just not have a champion since it's technically a playoff game being played at the rose bowl and not necessarily the actual rose bowl?

can you put in your official school records that you won 2 bowl games for the 2014 season?

That will be our luck. Arizona will win at the Rose Bowl playoff venue, then win the National Championship Game and then be told by our rival that we still have never made it to the Rose Bowl, let alone won it.

what i'm not sure about is if the rose bowl (or whatever bowl) will still be that actual bowl when it's a part of the playoff, or if it will just be a "playoff bowl".

I still think you'd be considered the Rose Bowl Champion. Take the NFL for example. If you win or lose the Super Bowl, you are still considered the conference champion.

What are your thoughts on a playoff that includes 3 SEC teams. Let's just say it ends:

1. Miss St. 13-0
2. Fla St. 13-0
3. Alabama 11-1
4. Georgia 11-2

Current ranking

1 Mississippi State 7-0
2 Florida State 7-0
3 Auburn 6-1
4 Ole Miss 7-1
5 Oregon 7-1
6 Alabama 7-1
7 TCU 6-1
8 Michigan State 7-1
9 Kansas State 6-1
10 Notre Dame 6-1
11 Georgia 6-1
12 Arizona 6-1
13 Baylor 6-1
14 Arizona State 6-1
15 Nebraska 7-1
16 Ohio State 6-1
17 Utah 6-1
18 Oklahoma 5-2
19 LSU 7-2
20 West Virginia 6-2
21 Clemson 6-2
22 UCLA 6-2
23 East Carolina 6-1
24 Duke 6-1
25 Louisville 6-2

If there is a one-loss Oregon team in this scenario that gets bumped for a two-loss SEC team, then really all we've done is replace the BCS with BS.

The good news is that Skip Bayless has never known anything of any value.

lol, First Take is such a clown show. It boggles the mind that ESPN gets the ratings they do for that show, Americans are so dumb. I dislike Jimbo "don't question my angels" Fisher and crew as much as the next guy but for Skip to leave them out for Auburn, Bama, and Ole Miss is clearly a troll move, as clear as can be. Trolls should be ignored.

Regarding the playoff, as others have said, so much will be worked out by Dec 7th. There might be a controversy with 2-3 teams for the last spot, but nothing like the 18 or so teams we have right now with 1-loss or less. We gotta BTFD and keep winning, only thing we can do.

Fans and the media overreact so much with sports. That is the only constant or truth involved in sports. The general population repeating history every single year by overreacting and/or freakinggg out.

Agree, especially since you were considered the Rose Bowl Champion when it was also the BCS Title Game (1999-2006)
