College football is the sports version of the contemporary American economic system: its set up for the rich to get richer and the poor to suffer and provide fodder for the rich.

After the teams that have opted out, you have:

Colorado 4-1
Washington 3-1
Oregon 4-2

And it works out with three slots for Pac-12 teams against the Big XII and SEC. We'll have to wait to see the match-ups. Maybe not terribly thrilling, but the Pac-12 will still continue through the holiday bowl season.

Okay, somebody please explain this to me. I **thought** that to be eligible for a non-semifinal CFP designated bowl berth, you had to be in the top 12 or whatever in the CFP rankings. And Oregon is #25. Is it an automatic berth for all P5 conference champs, regardless of ranking? Or did they issue a waiver due to covid?

Because the Rose Bowl was part of the CFP the PAC-12 and BIG 10 champs had an automatic birth into the Fiesta Bowl if not in the CFP.

So can we start calling the "Playoff" the College Football Invitational? It's not a real playoff pitting the best teams against each other. It's the teams which will get the best ratings being invited to participate in a postseason tournament.

Do you have a plan to make it better? i would rather have the FCS playoff format. The current playoff system getting stale or do we hate watching same ole teams each and every year.

Expand it to 8, P5 conference champs, top G5 team, and 2 at large.

Whats the point of even allowing the Group of 5 to be D1 when its clear they will never even be given a shot to compete for a National Title?

College football just isn't exciting. At the beginning of the year, you can probably name 3 of the 4 teams that are going to make the playoffs. Only 6 teams have ever won a college playoff game, and guess what, those 6 teams are current 1-6 in recruiting class rankings for the 2021 class.

It is so predictable...

Athletes cheat? Since when?

Even when I was at the UA, the AD tutors kept copies of the old tests for athletes to use, in the event the professor did not change the test. Greeks too.

Not cheating per se, but an unfair advantage over non athletes/greeks.

However calculus, I may give them a pass on. That was one hard class, for a skill I would never use.

The problem is you can't compare UofA with West Point.

They take oaths on this type of stuff so this is a lot worse for the military schools.
