The Ohio State quarterback reinjured his surgically repaired throwing shoulder on Monday, a serious blow to Ohio State's national championship hopes.
BENDER: Buckeyes have dealt with losing Heisman candidates | HAYES: Meyer will have his next QB prepared
Miller is 28-8 as Ohio State's starter and has led the Buckeyes to 24 consecutive regular-season wins. The dual-threat QB has totaled 3,054 rushing yards and 32 TDs and was expected to be among the Heisman Trophy frontrunners this year. Miller missed two games in 2013 and was replaced by Kenny Guiton.
Ohio State would have to turn to either redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett or third-year sophomore Cardale Jones as a replacement. The two split reps in Miller's absence in spring practice.
