Sent the wife & kids to the farmers market while I stayed home to “get some stuff done” (replaced 2 window screens - took me 30 minutes).
Just made nachos, hit the pen, cracked a High Noon and settled in to watch Coach Prime try to put the Big12 on notice.
It’s 11:30am. We are so fucking back!

CU looking pretty good. They look well prepared and are executing very well. Much better on defense then I thought they would be. Also Sanders the QB looks efficient and in control. Buff fans have to be happy so far

If the Buffs score again right here before halftime, TCU is officially on upset alert.

It’s gotta be hot as fuck in Ft. Worth. Does CU have the stamina to stay in this game?

As opposed to…………
The pre-game and halftime were a Coach Prime slurp-a-thon.

Billy Napier gets fired after this season and Prime becomes the new head coach. But if Florida State doesn't make it to the ACC championship game, maybe FSU fires Norvell.

Kind of strange in what is in conference or not. I consider Big 12 conference games, yet technically they are not. Baylor is giving Utah all kinds of trouble.

Shows you Florida sucks and it’s tough to play on the road. Baylor has to be embarrassed from last weeks loss so they are playing with great resolve. Utah might be uneven until Rising gets back

Utah vs Baylor is a good game. Colorado vs Nebraska leaves a lot to be desired. Prime Time honeymoon is over. Colorado vs Nebraska is relegated to a secondary game.

Playing in 97 degree heat almost seems cruel. I know we might sell 50k tickets for a game but only 25k would show up for it given those conditions.

If the Cats are undefeated that may change. That is why tonight's game is a great opportunity for Arizona football. This game means far more to Arizona than Mississippi State. To them it is a good win, to UA it is game changing. If UA beats MSU they will take off. If the Cats win a Rose Bowl is a possibility.

Maybe. But I am enjoying the ride. Something about tonight's game is intriguing. Arizona has so much to gain and little to lose. It will be interesting to watch.

No doubt some success will go a long way. The Rose Bowl dream is dead but starting next year the Big 12 is very winnable and I can see us stringing a bunch of 8 win seasons together. We get that magical year and we rep the 12 in the CFP. It can happen

We shouldn't make too many assumptions after two weeks of the season. There's one narrative of "how ironic that the Pac-12 finally got its act together just in time to blow itself up," followed by boo-hoo or whatever. No doubt league teams are generally off to a very good start. As to Colorado, we'll see. They've certainly gone from terrible to more than respectable. They definitely surprised TCU (think RichRod and Oklahoma St in 2012,) but it remains to be seen how TCU's season will go. As to Nebraska, from last season to now they're 4-10. We'll see how the Cinderella Buffs do in Eugene this week, and for the rest of the season. They wanted everybody's attention, and now they've got it, and it's a lot of fun. There always seems to be a surprise team, but there also always seems to be a disappointing team. The league will beat itself up, and there will be upsets and injuries. But, as far as teams looking daunting at this point, while we've got 8 teams in the top 25, there are a bunch of wins against the likes of UC Davis, Portland St, North Texas, (yes, NAU), and also 0-2 Boise St and some unranked teams. No doubt USC, Washington, Oregon, and Utah will be good, and probably the Bay Area schools and ASU will struggle. For everybody else, their destinies will probably depend a lot on the outcomes of their games against each other.

I have never seen the Pac-12 this strong. It isn't close.
UW is up 35 at halftime at Michigan State. They are National Championship good.
WSU is up 43-7 at halftime.
UCLA is up 45-0 at halftime.
Utah and OSU won big.
Only 2 games we could lose. Stanford and ASU. I expect ASU to lose.

And a little death for the Buffs with a blocked punt and another SC TD pass.
27-7 Trojans.

That is what I'm thinking. They may get beat but you have to give Primetime credit. They never quit. They will get better, especially when Travis Hunter returns.

But we don’t really know that yet after 5 games. Yeah SC squandered 27 point leads twice today but there are still a lot of glass shards left in Eugene.
Jury is still out imo.

Depends what one means by "Jury"
Public Relations Jury: unmitigated success
$$$$ Jury: unqualified success
Recruiting Jury: looking excellent (Even Adia Barnes says she'd go there!)
Team record jury: better than most of us and experts predicted
Tenure as coach jury: they're still "out"
Shameless self promotion jury: Boom!!!

The Wazzu/UCLA game is entertaining. There are a lot of Wazzu fans in Pasadena. If the Pac-12 had the excitement they have this season, it would not have ended. At least in football, the Pac-12 has been entertaining to watch. And, arguably, we have the best football conference in the country this season.

Huge mistake by UCLA right before half. That was a 14 point swing.
UCLA can play defense which is unusual for them. Moore still makes too many freshman throws so when we play them we need to mix our coverages and bring pressure from different areas. Confuse the kid

UCLA finally went out and hired an actual defensive coordinator instead of someone Chip Kelly used to work with. So that's been refreshing.
