Trent Dilfer deserves a Hot Seat as well—

"Two years ago, this was one of the truly ascendent programs in the Group of Five. UAB put together six straight winning seasons under coach Bill Clark and rode the wave from Conference USA to the AAC...UAB's 34-point loss to Army was only the latest embarrassment. In three AAC games, the Blazers have been outscored 156-48, including a 71-20 loss to Tulane. Amazingly, all five touchdowns UAB has scored in AAC play were in the second half while trailing by at least four touchdowns. This is a team that has been competitive for essentially zero seconds against FBS opponents."

At guess he doesn’t have to worry about any upper level teams taking his players. Great recruiting strategy Trent

LSU fans having a rough go with Brian Kelly these past few weeks. After winning six straight to go 6-1 and rise to a #8 ranking, LSU has lost three straight: Texas A&M, Alabama, and Florida. Plenty of LSU fans are looking to move on from BK but two obstacles stand in the way: 1) #1 high school prospect Bryce Underwood committed to LSU and 2) BK's astronomical buyout.

As for the former, yesterday Underwood flipped his pledge to Michigan and to the latter, how did LSU end up in this mess with BK?

From a CBS Sports article titled Can Bryce Underwood save LSU's Brian Kelly?

“There were always questions about how Kelly would fit in at LSU. Scott Woodward, the school's athletic director, was intent on money-whipping a big name into saying yes after Ed Orgeron's tenure crashed and burned. Woodward repeatedly went hard after Jimbo Fisher, the same man he gave one of the worst contracts in college sports history while serving as Texas A&M's AD. When he couldn't convince Fisher to leave College Station, he eventually wooed Kelly away from South Bend with a massive 10-year, $95 million contract. That decision feels increasingly onerous for a skidding LSU program that would have to pay Kelly more than $60 million to move on from him after this season.”

Anyone remember when Kelly put on a fake southern accent at his introductory press conference?

Doomed from the start.

Machina needs to go here and tell them they are #BADFANS. Can't read the comments, but the titles are pretty brutal.

LSU fans are the worst. I remember when JJ left for LSU and their fans on twitter gloated and laughed at us. Bunch of entitled aholes

LSU fans are terrible but all of the worst of them are at TigerDroppings which is the toxic waste dump of the internet. Like if all the world’s worst people decided to have a virtual kegger where they kicked actual puppies in the face.

I was at the Bama-LSU game in Baton Rouge 2 weeks ago. There was a little weather but not crazy. Yeah, Bama beat them up pretty good but the game wasn't over until late in the 3rd, yet 1/2 the stadium left early in the 3rd. Very disappointed in the LSU fans and reminded me of Tucson games actually. Thought a great SEC matchup was going to be much more crazy at Death Valley. For reference I went to Bama-Tennessee in Tuscaloosa last year and the entire stadium was bananas the whole game. So yeah, fuck LSU.

Not that anyone asked, but I will say that from a fan experience we were wearing Bama gear (my wife is a Bama fan) and everyone in Baton Rouge was very cordial and accommodating, and we went deep into the tailgate and after-game bars. There was absolutely no problem and seemed to be a lot of respect between the programs from what I saw.

Editing my post now after thinking about my many UA-ASU experiences over the years, if anyone cares, after the Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge games mentioned above. For some context I'm in my 40's so I can and do still act like an idiot, it just hurts more the next day. I was expecting things to get dirty but it was actually much worse in both Tucson & Tempe:
1) Much, much, much more respectful & competitive environment. Yes, even in Baton Rouge.
2). Lots of college kids feeling pretty good as they should - hell it was ESPN College Gameday in Baton Rouge so they started early. Nobody said anything stupid or in your face to us, just stuff like "you're going down tonight!". There's 103k in the stadium and probably double that tailgating.
3) Don't go to Death Valley if you want a crazy SEC football experience (see lame fans above). Starts off great but apparently they're notorious for leaving at halftime (sound familiar?)
4) DO go to Tuscaloosa if you want a crazy SEC football experience. Also, be prepared to spend a shit load of $ for a Best Western that night or to wait in gridlock for 3 hours to get out of Tuscaloosa back to Birmingham. Still, the experience and the "Dixieland Delight" at the 3rd quarter media timeout is the best sporting event experience I've had, and I even got to have my cigar.

Kalen had most of the players leave after Saban left. He will figure it out IF given time.
