I wonder if my interest in baseball will ever return. It's been dormant or dead for at least 6 or 7 seasons.

The Baby Bombers are really good a whole lot faster than I thought they'd be. I don't expect them to keep up a .690 winning percentage all year, but it gives me hope they won't be mediocre for long.

Was at Wrigley this weekend (second best part of this weekend. #1 was hanging with Chi and his bride and a few friends) and the yankee's are good. Way ahead of schedule. They can really hit and Girardi plays good fundamental baseball.

As for the cubs, they seemed to me to be going through the motions and just still basking in the glow of last year. They seem like a team that wants to turn it on in the playoffs and make their rum then.

Oh, it was cold in Chicago this weekend. Froze our Baggett off at the yard

For sure. You don't pull that shit with the press, legit beef or not. Sad to watch a guy desperately hang onto a career slipping into the twilight.

This is may favorite time of the year after March Madness. My Cubbies appear to be ready and getting it together. Quintana is pitching the best he has pitched in a long time. Montgomery just threw a one hitter. Let's see how Arrieta and Lester do. Arrieta was really getting it together before the minor Hamstring injury. Wade Davis is 31 for 31 in save opportunities.

Addison Russell is back. I can't think of a better infield than Rizzo, Baez, Russell and Bryant. Contreras is back. I love his emotion and risk taking. 7 in a row now. 4 games on the road against the Brewers followed by 4 games on the road against the Cardinals. This time of year is a lot of fun when your team is peaking.

Cubs from April to October. Wildcats basketball from October to April. You can't get better than that.

This season has been so fun as a Yankee fan. I have no expectations they'll beat the Indians but I really don't want the ride to end.

I've hated the Yankees most of my life, and I can't remember the last time I have liked more than only one or two guys on any of their teams. Judge and Sanchez being two of them, man they are fun to watch. I had to stop myself from rooting for them last night.

Hypothetical: Thru 5 innings, Greinki sitting on 75 or so pitches, and the Dbacks have a 2 run (or more) lead. What do you do?

Bauer is throwing a no-no after 5 for Cleveland. And he isn't even Cleveland's best pitcher. If he is even close to Kluber I don't see anyone beating the Indians.

Broken up. Ump is giving Bauer every corner, and a few I didn't know existed.

Kyle Hendricks didn't surprise me. I think he is a way underrated pitcher. Yet I do like the way Carl Edwards Jr is pitching. He has really nasty stuff, and if he can keep his control, like tonight, he is going to be a very valuable pitcher.
