Milwaukee of course:

A bratwurst sliced in half then stuffed with a grilled hot dog. Both items are wrapped in bacon, topped with sauerkraut and grilled onions, then delicately placed on a pretzel roll.

HOW MANY CALORIES WE TALKIN’?: 1,121

AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?: $13

Tood Frazier
Adam Jones
Brian Dozier

All in the HR Derby. I do not watch it anyways but those three are quite lackluster. I might actually watch just to see Stanton match. Would be nice to see Trout hit.

Why is this even a story?
Why did I even clock on it to read?
Rendon: Baseball on TV Too Boring
Anthony Rendon, one of the biggest snubs from this year's Midsummer Classic, evidently isn't too disappointed about spending the All-Star break at home.

The Washington Nationals star infielder said he didn't even watch Tuesday's All-Star Game.

"I don't watch baseball (on television) -- it's too long and boring," Rendon said in a recent interview with the Washington Post.

Rendon, who is enjoying a breakthrough season, told the Post that he rarely watches baseball and prefers networks like the History Channel.

The 24-year-old Rendon also told the newspaper that he does not talk about baseball when he visits his family during his time off. He said before the All-Star break that he was looking forward to four days of rest from baseball.

"I have a bed at home waiting for me to sleep in," Rendon told the Post. "It's a good four-day vacation. We have a long season ahead."

Rendon is batting a team-leading .287 with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs this season, his first full year in the majors. The former first-round draft pick was a finalist for the NL's All-Star Final Vote.

"I think he's understanding the league a little more," Nationals manager Matt Williams told the Post. "We have to realize how young he is, certainly to the big leagues."

Lester and Gomes to A's for Cespedes.

Lester, Gray, Samardzjia, Kazmir, Chavez... That's one hell of a rotation

This is great:
Well, that escalated quickly.

Seattle Mariners catcher Jesus Montero, currently rehabbing an oblique injury with the team's Class A Everett AquaSox affiliate, reportedly got into a heated altercation Thursday with a scout from his team.

According to MiLB.com, Montero was coaching first base when the scout yelled at him to hustle off the field at the conclusion of the inning. A game official said the scout then ordered an ice cream sandwich and had it sent to Montero in the dugout.

Montero -- who made news for reporting to spring training 40 pounds overweight this season -- did not appreciate the gesture. He approached the stands with a baseball bat, screaming profanities, and threw the ice cream sandwich at the scout. Montero had to be restrained by the team's pitching coach, according to the game's official scorer.

Heard about that on the radio on the way in.

This is strange:

A brawl ensued after Fiers's immediate next pitch also hit Reed Johnson (who assumed Stanton's batting count, as umpire Jeff Kellogg declared the Stanton HBP a swinging strike). Kellogg declared this pitch a strike, too, ending the inning:

Second guy his, this is a swinging strike?

What the fuck is that umpire seeing calling both HBP a swinging strike?

Never heard of this before:
Miguel Cabrera is putting his money where his mouth is.

The Detroit Tigers first baseman opted against signing the paperwork necessary to make him eligible for his playoff bonus, USA Today Sports reported.

According to the newspaper, Cabrera was sitting at his locker Wednesday when teammate Max Scherzer came around collecting signatures from the team.

"I'm not signing anything," Cabrera told Scherzer.

Designated hitter Victor Martinez, who had just signed the paperwork, had a conversation with Cabrera in Spanish. Cabrera maintained his position, concluding by saying: "I just want the ring."

Scherzer, who also had tried to talk with Cabrera, finally shrugged and walked away. "OK, more for us," he said.

No thanks. I know that MLB is having a real down year, but I can't imagine a worse team than the Royals being World Series champs. Especially when they are managed by Yost, who is an even worse manager than Brenley was in 01.
