In high school Madison Bumgarner dated a girl named . . . Madison Bumgarner.

Let that sink in for a second...

I missed the game. I ove watching Bumgarner pitch.

Hopefully next series.

Cubs need to be freaking out right now.

If they wanted to push it he could come back for game 3 Monday, but more likely he be game four.

This series may go the distance.

It was a pitchers duel.

For a moment I thought Thor was going to get the better of us, that dude has a bright future. But classic Giants getting into the pitch count, fouling off balls, and his efficiency wasn't quite as good as bumgarners and once the Giants got him over 100 pitches the wheels began to get shaky. Mets the pulled him for relief still at 0-0 and we went to work on their bullpen.

3 run HR by a rookie in the top of the ninth on a 3-2, 2 out pitch. Even if you hate the Giants but love baseball it doesn't get any better than that.

Makes sense the bullpen cost us. They have been trash since July

Thank God. The curse of the Giants deciding to not suck in even years has been broken.

It is so tough to snuff out the heart of a champion and man do the Giants have a big heart. The Cubs had to play incredible baseball to win that series. Now those games were big league players at their best

Yup. Sad to lose, but objectively the better team won. Cubs have more power hitters, younger, faster, and solid rotation/pen.

This game was the Giant's season in a microcosm. oh, well on to next year.

Go GIANTS!

They aren't flashing and dink and dunk you to death, but you can't say they aren't resourceful and resilient. This series was playoff baseball at its best!

The Cubs had to give everything they had to win. My goodness that series was enjoyable to watch. It was really good baseball. The Giants starting rotation matched the Cubs. And the defense was outstanding on both sides.
