Betts to the Dodgers for Verdugo. We also get the to eat half the contract of Price

and Joc Pederson to the Angels for Louis Rengifo - the Betts addition is formidable for at least this year

Dodger line-up 1-8 will be scary good next year. Starting pitching took a hit but should be good enough to cakewalk through the NL West.

I’m interested to see if this puts the idea of a neutral site World Series which was kicked around a few years ago into play going forward.

If they have a December WS in Miami and it’s a success, that might become the norm.

How about this. Forget interleague games this year. Play two home and home series in your division and one home and home series with the rest of your league. With one day off a week that would be 108 games over 18 weeks. If the season started May 4th the regular season would finish by September 5th.

Looks like they are talking about starting the season in May in AZ for all teams. Of course no fans would be allowed.

Have to wonder what other changes would be made? Do the umps still call balls and strikes? Does a manager come out of the dugout to argue face to face with the umps? Does the umps still rub up the balls before the game? Do the players sit together in the dugout or bullpen? What about spitting?

It would be nice to see baseball (to me still America’s past time) lead us back to normalcy but I hope they do it for the right reasons and not just because of where the bottom line might be.

Saw a blurb that Covid-19 testing will be a requirement regarding the Cactus League.

It could be a great renaissance for baseball. What other sport would ever be more appropriate to get us all through this crisis?

The idea that all players would be locked away from their families for 4 months is a non-starter.

This was floated to see the reaction and for the most part it hasn’t been a resounding “let’s do it!”.

MLB just whitewashed Red Sox cheating.

Only guy who is getting punished is the video guy and all he has to do is sit out the season that might not fucking happen.

They needed to have protocols in place that if there was one positive test, everyone went into quarantine. MLB was so scared of having to pause that they may have gone ahead and killed some people.
