Tonight the DBacks let a relief pitcher hit with two outs and the bases loaded in a 2-2 game.

He watched three strikes go by to end the inning.

He then went out in the next half inning and gave up six runs.

Which begs the question… are they tanking so that mobbed up betting rings can rake in some dough?

I think a more plausible explanation is the UofA President and AD got involved.

I still give my son a hard time for when he prevented me from getting to a Reggie Sanders homer in the left field bleachers by grabbing my shirt when he was about 5 or 6. I see now I was not giving it my best effort.

Last Friday's Diamondbacks game is the first live sporting event I've attended since before the pandemic broke out. Cubs in town over the weekend. They outnumbered the Diamondbacks fans and definitely provided a beer-bellied "midwest" look to the whole atmosphere. What *does* look good is how well Chase Field is aging. Still looks new and state of the art. Much better looking than some of the newer parks out there, such as the Washington Nationals' and Citi Field where the Mets play in Queens.

A bright spot in an otherwise horrible season.

DBacks are hot baby! 7-3 in their last 10!
