The very weakest part of the 3-3-5 defense is trying to stop run sweeps to the outside, there is literally no one there to set the edge. As Bill Belichick always says, set the edge set the edge set the edge on defense, yet we have no one there. Our scheme forces the middle linebacker to cut through all the blockers to be the first man of resistance, and without Scooby there to do that job, our linebackers are currently taking horrible routes to the ball and getting run right around. Nevada running back getting 5 yards before even getting contacted.
