Whats the excuse for the offense?

Top 2 running backs gone

Two out of the top 3 receivers (Cowing/TannerM) gone

2 starting OL's gone including the most important OL position (Left tackle)

Top 2 backup OL gone

And unfortunately we did not replace ANY of them with anything close to similar talent.

Got it????????
Uhh. I think you predicted 8-4 before the season started. Guess you only got it after the suckage started in earnest.

I don't speak for PC but I'm just being a realist. We are playing without 14 starters from last year.

I understand where the casual football fan might not understand the connection between losing most of your teams talent and having a drop off in on-the-field performance.........but it is what it is.

You are correct carcass. Once I saw (in person) that we had problems with New Mexico's OL & DL's I rapidly updated my expectations.

Why would you need to see it in person if you already knew on paper we lost so many starters?

I had no idea if the replacements (especially our offensive LT and the defensive line) were adequate......they were (and are) NOT.

Questions for you:

Do you think Wooten is an adequate replacement for Jordan Morgan??

Do you think Patterson is an adequate replacement for Jacob Cowing??

Do you think TannerMac has been adequately replaced???

Do you think our DT's (Norton/Savea) have bee adequately replaced???

We knew who we had in our lineup at the start of the season. But you only had your epiphany 2 games into the season? Was that when you suddenly realized our problem is just a lack of talent? I think that is when most of us realized we have a crummy coaching staff.

UCF's gameplay sure seems to be working.

So, according to you, the whole problem is just a "fundamental lack of talent"? An awful lot of other people see the main problem as being a fundamental lack of coaching talent.

I am very willing to admit this team isn't as talented as last years.

Why is it so hard for you to admit most of our coaching staff has their heads shoved up their own asses?

Because there is nothing to "admit" to.

A coaching staff, no matter how talented, is not going to be able to win games without talent.

They clearly have better overall talent than we do.

They have been winning the battle at the LOS all day........or do you dispute that???

Yes they have been pushing us around all game, no they do not have significantly more talent on their roster than we do.

They did however make adjustments to their gameplan and got rid of a dead weight coach this week.

Losing 56 to 12 to a crappy ass UCF team is not a fucking talent issue.

Disagree. It most certainly is.

Again, they have beaten us (badly) on both LOS. Thats the primary reason we are losing. Thats a talent issue......period.

Nothing wrong with the UA football program that 25-30 Million $$$/year of NIL can't fix.

The problem is finding the 25-30 million $$$/yr

We're 3-6. Sumlin's first season here he was 5-7. We won't match that.

Brent needs to fire Babers right now. It can't get worse.

This is almost rock bottom. We'll reach it at the end when we're 3-9 after ASSU beats the shit out of us.

That might satisfy the folks with pitchforks and torches (most of this board) but it won't bring back the 14 starters from last years team that we are missing......the results will be the same.

We just lost 55-12 to a terrible team with their 4th string QB.

I'll go ahead and agree that, overall, we have alot of talent gaps-especially with the injuries. But the results we're getting is ALSO because this staff is FAILING.

We suck bad and are one of the worst D1 programs in the country.

To say that in a year when Army & Navy are a combined 14-1 is just mind-blowingly wild. They’re out there running offenses that were developed in the 1930s with o-linemen smaller than our TEs and you’re going to tell me you can’t coach kids up into winners? C’mon…

At least during the first 2 or 3 rough years of Stoops, the team never quit. Not that I want any UA coach back.

UCF, a team that lost 5 in a row with so much talent.

They’re out there running offenses that were developed in the 1930s with o-linemen smaller than our TEs and you’re going to tell me you can’t coach kids up into winners? C’mon…
SJSU is 5-3 with Nakamura, the old Navy coach which Tate would not let the UA hire since Khalil would not run the "tripple" option.
