I'm surprised how poorly ESPN has mic'ed the field. Sounds like a baseball game...too quiet. Can't hear the crowd at all.

Anu throws a nice ball

The only think that concern me is out Running game. I mean Grigsby is doing good so far but I want to see Wilson and Haden or Smith got.
Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
Nice 1st quarter. Let's really put the hurt on in the 2nd!

Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
BJ was OK, but the down field dimension was lacking all last year. It isn't now. Now, we can stretch a D north/south as well as east/west.SportsMind wrote:So nice to have a quarterback. Opens up EVERYTHING!

TJG has 84 yards in 5 carries. That is good?cordera89 wrote:The only think that concern me is out Running game. I mean Grigsby is doing good so far but I want to see Wilson and Haden or Smith got.

No one concerned about UTSA or is Houston just bad?

Well crap. Time to really bear down D.

Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
Why not? RR only offers ST players walk on status. how many RBs and QBs get scholies that never see the field?cordera89 wrote:Don't blame RR for poor Special Team play.Merkin wrote:UNLV cares about special teams.AZCatGirl wrote:Oh sure. UNLV can hit their field goals.

Houston has 73 yards total offense thru 3 quarters.cordera89 wrote:Wow. Did there offense score any TD or mostly there Defense. I know Houston Offense was struggling in first half against there D and UTSA offense was Struggle as well manage to drive down the field but wow thou.

Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
The offense looks good. The pace is good and the plays are working, the chemistry just isn't there along with a lot of nerves. I am excited to see this offense grow this year.
Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
Defense is doing a good job so far. But RR need to mixed up his play calling on offense.

Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
Do not recall UA rushing so many players in the RR era on 3rd down. I like it!
Re: Game 1, vs UNLV
Yea like to see more option with the run and pass. Right now RR being to greedy with the play calling.ghostwhitehorse wrote:Need. Maor. TJG! Or NicW or whatever. . .!!!!!!!!!!!!!cordera89 wrote:Too much passing, RR got to mixed it up.
