Despite the loss I really like what I saw today:

Gunnell >>>>>>>>>>> Tate

Blackwell & Lopez are big upgrades on the DL

Brightwell is bringing it his Senior year

The OL looks solid

Things I don't like:

We don't have any quality LB's

We are running a 3-4 defense in spite of not having any quality LB's

We don't have a receiver with separation type speed (I wonder what Gunnell would do with a Northcutt and a Gronkowski to throw to)

We don't have any decent blocking TE's

What a great game though for this team. I’m not a fan of moral victories but I feel like they can build on this.

Lots of stuff to work on. Run defense, Gunnell taking less sacks, pass rush, receivers getting separation, etc.

Defense! Good sure tackling and our D line brought it!

Yup. Just happy I actually had a reason to watch a game from start to finish. Obviously I wish we pulled it off but that was a pleasant surprise.

Certainly agree in the talent level, but I really fucking hate the prevent defense.

Any time the UA starts continuing to rush 3 the game is already over.

I get it. I hate the prevent too.

But when you blitz you leave your DBs & LBs with no help against bigger and faster receivers.

What we really needed was to run some clock on our last offensive possession. We scored with too much time left.
