Teams have figured out to over play on Love and take him out of his rhythm. Thanks to that USC loss

Why do we keep driving into Dante? He's going to block your shot

Boz and love riding the pine at end of this one… brutal

Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
we can't win with Love scoring 6 points. That's just objectively true from this point forward.

And Boz not giving much eitherBeachcat97 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 7:19 pm we can't win with Love scoring 6 points. That's just objectively true from this point forward.

Boz is less consistent than Love offensively, though. We gotta have Love getting around 20 from here on out.84Cat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 7:20 pmAnd Boz not giving much eitherBeachcat97 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 7:19 pm we can't win with Love scoring 6 points. It's the risk we took with Love. He wasn't always a high FG% shooter at UNC.

This team could get to the ff or lose in the 1st round. Just a weird inconsistent team
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
3 possessions. ah well, gg (in the first half).
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
If we don’t get some kind of decent level production and offensive execution from our guards we are dead in water
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
Well our weekend is over. Good win Ducks
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
At least we wont lose to a 15 seed.

Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
He wouldn't shoot was the issue. When he missed those 2 early free throws I knew he was off.
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
Welp, another heaping pile of dog shit. Two out of three games. This team has learned nothing. Have a lead, lose focus, never regain it. Pathetic.

Hopefully we stay in the west

Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
Yep. And like I've been saying for years, the hot shooting is going to come our way one of these years. We have guys who can shoot. But those same guys also occasionally go 1-9.
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
My point was Tommy teams don't lose back to back games. But yeah, we should still be a 2.

stats look brutal. esp the way oregon dominated in the paint
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
Our unforced turnovers are killing us - did they hit some tough shots? Absolutely, but we gave up a lot of chances for us to put points on board
Not having a PG who could get the ball into Ballo the entire second half is a whole nother problem

Well at least we get some rest. 1 less day of wear

Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
Went about like I thought it would. Oregon was the better team. This team is one and done just like I've been saying all along. At least we don't have to suffer losing to Washington State again. Grand Canyon will go further in the tournament than Arizona will. What a joke.

Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
The thing is: EVERYONE hits tough shots in the NCAA tournament. You have to expect that you're going to run into the hottest shooting you've seen all year because that's just what effing happens. And you have to counter that hot shooting by hitting a high percentage of shots. Had we made more FTs and had Caleb been anywhere close to his averages, we probably beat Oregon today.
But all it takes is one poor half. There's no margin for error in the tournament.

As ugly a half as I have seen in the Lloyd era. I thought he and our staff really got out coached tonight. Of course Oregon was playing for their tournament lives and threw the kitchen sink at us.

I hope Washington State wins the Pac 12 tournament. In my opinion they're the best team in the conference. Beat us easily twice and have a better coach. Floyd really needs to prepare his team better and earn that money he's being paid. He should watch the WSU game tonight and take notes. He could learn a thing or two from Kyle Smith.
Re: (M) Game #33 Oregon vs. Arizona (Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal) (2023-2024)
I really wanted to win the PAC regular season and tournament but will survive. Love and Boz perplexing to all of us. Need to regain their confidence and swagger.

Yea, I’m not saying their hot shooting is why we lostBeachcat97 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 7:35 pmThe thing is: EVERYONE hits tough shots in the NCAA tournament. It’s our consistent turnovers and inability to execute our offense, those are the bigger systemic issues imo as a team with good or really good defense can expose those flaws
