Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
Would love to get some breakdown of match-ups going here!
Hall and "Chef" are the main weapons on offense, but those guards can be dangerous as well.
They kept Baylor at bay for most of the game before almost blowing it in the final minutes. Baylor couldn't make a shot until near the end. If we shoot like we did vs. Dayton, I think we can establish an early lead and build slowly.
Have to keep our bigs out of foul trouble because that will be their strategy.

Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
They are a solid team. No stars, but good team ball. The Cats need to at least bring their B game. If good Boswell shows up or Love is in a zone, we should be okay. If the Cats come to play they will win. They are better than Clemson. Yet, Clemson will fight and have their runs, like Dayton. Good test for CTL. He seems to understand to put Boswell on a short leash, and play Bradley. We have a very good bench if utilized properly.
Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
I think a key with them will be how Ballo guarding Hall goes; the tape I've seen on Hall he will be a tough cover for Ballo since he shoot the 3, finish back to basket and around rim, and is a good passer. Drop coverage/ PnR could get us with Ballo in; Krivas looked decent in the Dayton game with covering PnR so hopefully that continues and he can spell Ballo when needed.
I think CTL will need a tight leash on Ballo/Krivas and going to a small ball type lineup that we did vs Dayton, with Johnson covering Hall.
They have some solid guards that could be a tough cover for Boz; may need a quick hook on him for JB to get some length/better defense.
I think that we should have a good chance to slowly pull away if we play to our strengths and limit turnovers. We can't force 3s if they aren't falling, hit our FT's.

How about.. how the hell will Hall cover Ballo?
Ballo will get Hall in foul trouble early

Yep, think this will be a big thing - based on how Hall looked vs Baylor he was foul prone and trying to cover Ballo should be a task.Alieberman wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 2:53 pm How about.. how the hell will Hall cover Ballo?

Ballo has looked good in the post lately so lets hope he keeps it up!

I was more worried about Dayton than I am about Clemson. This worries me...

Ugh. I'll be driving from Phoenix to Tucson with a carpool of coworkers from 4-6 pm Thursday. I'll miss almost the whole thing

Exactly. Fans only seem to worry about how their team matches up with their opponents. Never talks about the other way aroundAlieberman wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 2:53 pm How about.. how the hell will Hall cover Ballo?

Just no silly turnovers. Clemson is near the bottom at creating turnovers I heard so make them guard us.
Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
Clemson's opponents have shot 9-47 (19%) from 3 so far in the tourney. So they have been lucky there.

Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
I watched some of the Clemson/Baylor game. Clemson is not an athletic team. Hall is not as good as Holmes. He is crafty but will have problems in the paint. They look like a mid-major team, so can be dangerous if not taken seriously. They remind me of Colorado. Although Colo is more physical.

Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
haha. I can't even see the game live. So I won't see the score. YouTube TV records all March Madness games automatically, when I chose that option. I will start watching at 2 AM because I desire all the emotion. If UA makes the Final Four I am on vacation and will participate fully. Greatest time of the year when your team is a part of March Madness, especially after the first week. IMO, I think UA has a good chance to make the FF. And a decent chance to win it all if the cards fall right.

I will have the stream up for anyone that needs it.
Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
Is it possible for you to stream on NCAA.com with a VPN? It's a CBS game so I don't think you'd need a log in, but I'm not 100% sure.
Edit: Never mind, Fish is streaming.

You need a tv provider for the march madness site
Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
I remember the days when they'd let you watch CBS without a log on, because it's a free over the air station.
*shakes fist at cloud*

Most of the national guys I've heard today like Clemson to cover if not win outright.
Re: (M) Game #36 Clemson vs. Arizona (NCAA Tournament Sweet 16) (2023-2024)
I think we win but Clemson beat UNC at Chapel Hill, Alabama, Boise St in Boise & lost to Duke by 1 in Cameron. We need to bring our A game to win this as you would expect playing in the Sweet 16
