Miller needs a quick hook with guys who aren't busting their ass. Smith, Lee, Randolph & Akot are all ready to go. Their execution is questionable, but they're fired up and bringing some much needed energy. Time for Trier & Alkins to play like the freshmen and just go as hard as they can and not conserve anything.

Just not sure what to think at this point. Part of me still believes this team could make a FF run. Another part of me wonders if we'll even make it to the NCAA tournament.

Great offensive possession with passes by PJC to Dusan to Rawle to Ayton.

Good job by Trier getting to the line instead of taking that setback.

This team will either be like KU 87-88, or one of the biggest flops in NCAA history....

That right there. Why not play with this defensive intensity more often? It makes energy. Coming out and sucking sucks energy. This is why Miller is so frustrated.

With Trier, Ayton, and Rawle, we should be slashing and scoring in the paint at will. No more lazy threes!!!!

OSU's point guard play is abysmal. We should be hounding these guys all night long. PJC should be in the opponent's shirt every trip down.

But why the intensity now?

Why not in the 1st half... again?

This team just isn't motivated.

They should be stomping this team. The fact that they're not is extremely concerning. Zone defense, and all of a sudden we're just dribbling around doing nothing. It's pathetic.

Guys don't know how to play without the ball. They don't realize they can fill a stat sheet by not dominating the ball with the dribble. Movement, cutting, positioning can get you a few easy FG's & a few FT's each game.

Ayton should ALWAYS have twice as many shots as any other player on the team...

... and, more often than not, no one should take a three on any possession until he has touched the ball at least once

If we have no answer to this zone, then why not play pressure defense and turn over their shaky guards and wings, and get out on the run? It's the only thing working for us. And unlike trying to break this zone, it works.

If the Cats played the zone now and then, they could practice the zone now and then.If they practiced against the zone, they could practice how to beat it.

It's not the sets. It's execution. PJC is actually playing a pretty good game. But this game just shows how limited he is. He can't get in the paint and create. And Trier & Alkins can't or won't penetrate the gaps under control. This zone is nothing special. Look at the wide open misses that Alkins has had. Tons of opportunities. Maddening.

Yes. OSU's point guard play is terrible. PJC has been great at ball pressure and keeping OSU from getting the ball inside. Very good game by PJC on D.
