We would have lost by 8-12 points is Santa Clara hadn't kept tripping over their dicks the past few minutes.

Out of timeouts is the only time I have confidence in us.

Glad tomorrow's game is at the same time. I don't think we want the rest of the country watching that either.

We really shouldn't be shocked........we dropped 4 guys to the league, whiffed on a prize recruit (Rabb), and had another blow his knee out in preseason. I have visions of half of the Pac12 having career games being guarded by Pitts.

Nobody in our handshake line should be smiling. Disgusting effort tonight. ..probably the worst I've ever seen from us defensively in a win.

Rest and reset tomorrow, guys...and pray that Zeus is a quick healer.

Not sure I have ever been as underwhelmed by a top 5 recruiting class as I have with this years so far.

I'm not sure it's all about effort. When Gabe York & Elliott Pitts are your most trusted players, that's a problem.

This team can't do great things if York is our top scorer. He's just not that good, especially against good competition. If Miller is gonna roll the dice in conference play with those guys, we're gonna struggle. Trier has to step up his game, as does Allen if we're gonna go places. Otherwise, this is a 5th place team.

Bad defense

+ Settling for perimeter shots early in the shot clock

+ Bad shooting night on those perimeter shots

+ York being York

+ Michael Jordan

+ Kaleb injured

= a nail biter against an 0-5 team

Different guys will step up. Everybody shot like sh*t tonight. Can't comtrol that.

The shot selection, however, and the d, especially on Loveridge, can be controlled. Both were just lazy bad tonight.

Woke up feeling bad for that kid from Santa Clara who missed the 2 FTs end of regulation.

Well almost anyway. Had flashbacks of Nash missing those 2 FTs in 93, and some other white kid missing both of his, and still the UA could not pull that one out.
