We probably drop like 5 spots.zonagrad wrote:Fuck any pollster who drops us one single spot in the top 25.
Sorry but we haven't been a great team all season.UALoco wrote:Great game. Ayton is a beast. Don't wan't to play them in Vegas. When Rawle starts hitting shots, we'll be a great team again.
This is lazy and cheap, yourself. We mixed it up all second half. It's a reason we got back into it.dmjcat wrote:Miller stubbornly playing behind Dickerson the WHOLE game84Cat wrote:For sureSCCats wrote:Think about how much ref action it took to get to that final shot
Uh, have you been drinking??? We didn't front Dickerson at all.dcZONAfan wrote:This is lazy and cheap, yourself. We mixed it up all second half. Absolutely.SunnyAZ wrote:Fun game. Too bad they seemed to get all the bounces.
It's college basketball. On the road. Against a scheme that no other team plays. We'd fucking boat race UW at McKale if there was a return game. Duke lost to a St. John's team riding an 11 game losing streak. And Kansas just lost at home. Again. We're a damn good team. And frankly, this type of game was really good for us against this style. I saw a lot of growth tonight. PJC stepped up and played well in the second half when he could've packed it in. He made plays on offense and forced some turnovers. Needs to bring that every night.WildcatStunner wrote:Should have never been this close. We have some serious inconsistencies
Quit finding fault and support your team. We almost won that against all odds and all you can do is find fault. Miller Technical changed the whole game, we played good D, shot 50 percent, one point away from three players scoring 20. Two players with double-doubles. Etc. Go fill your glass up. Go root for someone else if that's all you see.dmjcat wrote:84Cat wrote:For sureSCCats wrote:Think about how much ref action it took to get to that final shot
Blaming the refs is cheap. How about:
PJC only playing ball for 10 minutes
Rawle stinking up the court
Miller stubbornly playing behind Dickerson the WHOLE game
Exactly how I see it. I'm glad we will be playing Coach Hopkins every year. Great practice for the tourneyzonagrad wrote:It's college basketball. On the road. We blocked two of their shots in the paint in the final 1:30 and the loose ball scramble ended with two desperation threes for UW. It was their night.Longhorned wrote:Sure, you could say Akot left his man to rebound, leaving Green open. But the fact remains: Ayton's monster block got rewarded with absurd bad luck.
I fully support AZ, have for 45 years. But there is a difference between fanboy homerism and objectively pointing out issues that we have. Rawle didn't play well......FACT. PJC only played 1/2 of 1/2 well.............fact. Miller didn't even TRY to front a guy that killed us underneath all night........FACT.MountainCat wrote:Quit finding fault and support your team. I think we can say we are back to being a final 4 team again. We are better than most teams out there.
Oh, I don't know, maybe because he KILLED us all night while we played behind him???zonagrad wrote:Why would you front Noah Dickerson with a 7'1" beast like Ayton? All you do is put yourself out of defensive position for rebounding. And then you'd be bitching because we'd be giving up second chance points. Credit Dickerson for making some really tough shots. He also got bailed out 3 or 4 times by the Pac 12's finest.
I'm more upset that Ayton shot a grand total of 3 FTs the entire game. He gets hacked more than any player in the conference.
And fronting him solves that? And then UW swings the ball from the wing to the high post and suddenly Ayton gets sealed on Dickerson's hip and is out of position for an easy entry pass and definitely out of rebounding position. Keep it up coach.dmjcat wrote:Oh, I don't know, maybe because he KILLED us all night while we played behind him???zonagrad wrote:Why would you front Noah Dickerson with a 7'1" beast like Ayton? Uh, NO. In that case Ayton just rolls toward the post and stays in front of Dickerson..............try again, harder next time.zonagrad wrote:And fronting him solves that? Washington played great in the first half and we played great in the second half. All the luck went to Washington with the home cooking (until Miller called out the refs and got a T). Alton got three fouls in the first 5 minutes of the second half and didn't get his fourth until two minutes to go. Played great defense to the end including the block that fell into the Huskies hands.dmjcat wrote:I fully support AZ, have for 45 years.
