Ayton is forcing his shot. He needs to take the extra half second to get set.

Re: Game 3, vs CSU Bakersfield (2017-2018)
I thought it was a mediocre half. Ayton and Randolph are struggling. Ristic evens out with good offense and bad defense. But that is expected. PJC has really been a steady force. I like Lee's aggressiveness and would love to see him play more minutes. Pinder was disappointing. It was obvious the freshmen need more experience. And where was Akot?

Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

The crowd loved that PJC halfcourt shot!
Re: Game 3, vs CSU Bakersfield (2017-2018)
All that matters is if the players and recruits like them. Our thoughts on them mean nothing. They aren't as bad as everyone here says, but they are definitely bad compared to our unis from the Lute days
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

Mmmmm, yes and no. We're not dominating by means of our expected advantages. But that might be by virtue of some unexpected improvements, namely, more defensive effort which is largely hidden within the overall team effort.RondaeShimmy wrote:The least dominating 17pt lead ever

Trier for one is finally playing some hard nosed defense. Ristic has been the weak point on defense this game, but actually had a few good defensive series.dovecanyoncat wrote:Mmmmm, yes and no. Re: Game 3, vs CSU Bakersfield (2017-2018)
Yeah, the improvements hide within the stats. We don't get bona fide props for deflections and chest bumping pressure, but when Ayton diverts effort to hedging waaaay out from the basket it will have an effect on his scoring. I bet Miller isn't bummed about it.Merkin wrote:Trier for one is finally playing some hard nosed defense. Defense. Different this game. Miller is our head coach.

I am not a bball aficionado but these guys seem to be playing a bit to the competition. I think they'll play better against more comparable competition.

Love the Lee motor. Going to be a huge fan favorite.
Hard to believe Ndoye only has half the points of Ristic. Dude has a nice touch.
