What is that? Making open shots.
Making more of the ones where you're totally covered and off balance is good too.

Just terrible interior defense, hense Pinder.
Arizona likes to disorient opponents by giving them layups all game and then sealing penetration in the final 3 minutes.

I'd need a better look at those last to Trier fouls.

Ayton is reallllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy off tonight. He needs to concentrate on establishing position and getting the ball closer to the basket.

Alkins and Ayton can't hit the barn wall 2 games in a row.

Both need to drive to the basket and find other ways to score till they find their jumper again. Looks like Ayton is doing just that now. Rawle has been horrible so far the last few games.

This is just not our night.

Yes he is. Unfortunately its a Catch 22 situation. If we sit him he can't play his way out of the funk.......if we play him we may lose.

That may have been the worst final minute of a half in Coach Miller’s time at Arizona ....... and that’s saying something.

Miller may have to sit PJC as he did at UW for extended minutes. When the UCLA guards are raining 3's there is nothing PJC can do about it. At least an Akot or Randolph would be harder to shoot over.

We are getting our ass kicked. Yet this doesn't surprise me at all. Arizona just doesn't play with flow a lot of the time. They play great when they are rolling, it just isn't enough. Much of the time they can't play focused. They play like it is a chore instead of having fun. If this Cats team makes it to the sweet 16 they will have done more than I expect.

I've been watching AZ basketball since 1986 and this has to be the worst team I've seen for the talent they have. They look uncoached. they seem so disjointed and just stupid in how they play. It's so frustrating

1) Horrible defense on penetration, 3-point shooting, and in transition
2) Unforced turnovers
3) Can't make shots

Yeah, that will get you down 10 points at the half.

Alkins looks fine physically. But his head is out of the game.

I'm at a loss for what to do. Do we sit Alkins/PJC and go with Randolph/DS to start the 2nd half?. At least Randolph might
make a 3 by accident.....and DS/Randolph would be harder for Hands to shoot over.

The missing piece is Alkins. Even with him back in the lineup. When Alkins plays like Alkins, this team plays smart. And when Alkins is on the bench, Smith is a big culprit on all the mistakes.
