Live Stats: ArizonaStats.com
Series History: Arizona leads, 1-0

NOTABLES
• Arizona is making its 33rd NCAA Tournament appearance with a record of 56-31. UA is 21-11 in first round games and 17-11 in NCAA Tournament games played in the state of California, including two wins last year in San Diego.
• Today's game will be Arizona's 88th game in the NCAA Tournament, the 12th-most by a school in NCAA history.
• This will be the first meeting against Princeton in the NCAA Tournament. The only previous meeting with the Tigers came on Dec. 27, 1985 in Tucson, with Arizona winning by a score of 54-41.
• The Wildcats are the No. 2 seed in the South Region, after earning the No. 1 seed in the South Region last year. It is the first time since 2000 (1) and 2001 (2) that Arizona earned a top two seed in back-to-back seasons.
• In the NCAA Tournament, Arizona is 17-7 when playing as a No. 2 seed.
• This will be Arizona's third time playing in Sacramento for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats are 4-0 in Sacramento, with wins over Loyola (MD) and Virginia in 1994 as a No. 2 seed and victories over Nicholls State and Illinois State as a No. 1 seed in 1998.
• Arizona is 7-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament on March 16.
• The Wildcats are 12-2 this season against teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
• Last year, Arizona defeated Wright State and TCU on the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament in San Diego before falling to Houston in the Sweet 16.
• Since the start of the 2021-22 season, Arizona is 14-1 on neutral courts under Tommy Lloyd. The 14 wins are the third-most in the country in that span while the .933 winning percentage leads the nation.
• Arizona enters the NCAA Tournament riding a 3-game winning streak after defeating Stanford, Arizona State and UCLA on their way to capturing their second straight Pac-12 Tournament title.
• Tommy Lloyd became the first coach in Pac-12 history to win the Pac-12 Tournament in his first two seasons.
• In the Pac-12 Tournament title game, No. 8 Arizona defeated UCLA, the No. 2 ranked team in the Associated Press poll. The Wildcats last win over a top 2 team in the country came against No. 2 Maryland on Nov. 8, 2001 by a score of 71-67 in MSG.
• The win over UCLA was the 61st for Lloyd, extending his NCAA record for most wins through two seasons by a head coach (was 58 by Bill Guthridge from UNC).
• Through the first 71 games of Tommy Lloyd's head coaching career, Arizona has shot 50% or better from the floor 39 times. The Wildcats also have 38 games of 20+ assists under Lloyd.
• In nine postseason games (Pac-12 + NCAA Tournament) under Coach Lloyd, Arizona has shot 49.1% from the floor.
• As a team, Arizona has made 292 3-pointers this season, four shy from tying the Arizona single-season record of 296 set in 2010-11.
• Courtney Ramey (83) and Kerr Kriisa (82) are the first Arizona teammates to make 80 or more 3-pointers in the same season since Damon Stoudamire (93) and Khalid Reeves (85) in 1993-94. Ramey's 83 triples are the same number that Bennedict Mathurin made during the 2021-22 season, tying them for eighth on the Arizona single-season list.
• Nationally, Arizona ranks second in assists/game (19.2), fifth in points/game (82.7), fifth in field goal percentage (49.6%) and 10th in rebounds/game (39.4).

O/U on how it takes for the announcers to say, "Did you know Kylan Boswell is only 17 years old?!"?

Boswell comes in at the 4 minute first TV timeout mark, so then.

Arizona may only have a 7 player rotation. But all 7 are worthy of being starters. We are strong at 7 deep. Stay out of foul trouble and we are one of the best teams in the country. I am concerned about Kriisa's shoulder. I don't believe it is going to be a problem. We can compete with anyone. Even Henri and Adama are serviceable for a few minutes if needed.

Now if we can only get some interior defense. How many 2-3 foot shots are they going to get? Good thing they missed too many of them.

CBS has the lesser Tubelis with 2 points! :D

Are these PAC refs? These touch fouls drive me nuts.

Looked like Ballo committed a charge, but think it was a makeup call. Ballo got hid in the head on the rebound the other side with no call.
