AZ mountain cabins advice

Post by waysouthcat »

Hi all
I will be back in Arizona for a few days from Chgristmas to New Year's this year and need some quick advice. We are going for an overnight to the Grand Canyon, then will go to the Petrified Forest area for a day trip, and want a place in the mountains with a good chance of snow on the way back to Tucson. I was thinking Payson/Pinetop/Mogollon Rim, but really have no clue.

This is just a one night stay but we would really like a nice cabin in the forest with some snow. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Greer cabins are ones we have rented from Actually I think it is lazytrout.com but they were very nice and affordable and close to the ski resort.
