Our original plans this week were for Mesa Verde. However, the wife decided to take the dog this trip so we're going to go camping around Flagstaff instead.

Heading out in the Morning for Locket Meadow Campground. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/coconin ... ecid=55136" target="_blank

We intend to stay there for about 4 days and take the Inner Basin Trail hike to the volcano atop the San Francisco Peaks. It's about a 8.5 mile hike with about 2,400 feet of elevation change. Should be a good trip.

You must be in good shape for an old man. I do a hike of 800 feet elevation change and I'm ready to die.

No guarantee we'll make it, but give it a go. One thing on our side is we're not in a hurry.

We'll organize a BDW search party if necessary.
We are the people our parents warned us about.

Change of plans again. Coconino has closed all the campgrounds except dispersed camping. Looks like it's going to be Freidelin Prairie instead.
