Ok, back to the thread...

anyone ever try Domku Cafe.

I'm thinking of spending my birthday day. Menu looks interesting and veggie friendly for my wife.

Great day today. Made breakfast early then spent all day at the Library of Congress and the Newseum. The Newseum was very awesome. Definitely recommend it.

Just got back from dinner at Estadio. Very good as well. Nice bottle of tempranillo with our dinner.

First course was anchovies in olive oil, chorizo, and then 3 selections of Spanish cheeses...goat, sheep and cow.

2nd course was braised bacon, brussels sprouts and butternut squash puree. Also an open faced sammich of beef carpaccio and baby arugala.

Next up was grilled octopus with a potato caper salad. Lastly we had a braised lamb with yogurt and cucumber bocadillo and crispy duck breast with beluga lentils and sauteed Catalan greens.

Walked off the food for a mile or so through the Shaw neighborhood in the 25 degrees beautiful weather!

Nice long walk this morning to the White House for a tour. Brisk 16 degrees. I'm loving it but it'd get old after a week or so haha

This was some terrific eats on a cold Sunday night.

I love Ethiopian food and this blows away anything I've had in Berkeley and SF, which are great in their own right.

First day here, and a nice evening out with wife and baby, and yes after 6pm! If the remaining 59 days are like this, I am in for one hell of a fun 2 months.

BTW; question for the DC CATS: is there a UofA bar for tourney watching?

Nice! I'll have to check it out.

Office overlooks Capitol Building. Just finished happy hour with new colleagues and future friends.

God damn I love this city.

I love DC too...it's even better if you have money. I don't but I still had a great 5 day trip with a great apartment to stay in and some good eating for under $1000

Kafe Leopolds is the tits! Was a culinary trip back to Zurich for me. Easily made it into my personal top ten resturants ever.
