What's the best kept secret for a trip these days? My wife wants to go somewhere at the end of February that's not going to break the bank.
We love Silver City. There are these great cabins we stay in (Bear Creak Cabins) Kids loved the City of Rocksscumdevils86 wrote:Good thread idea. My wife and I are paying off all our debt so any trips we do take are relatively short and on the cheap side. For example we've only made trips recently to the White Mountains, Prescott, Bisbee, Silver City (NM), and Denver. All were nice for 3-5 days and not expensive at all.
Nice, we went once 2 years ago. Considering going back in May this year to have an early break from the heat.Alieberman wrote:We love Silver City. Where do you live? I would think getting to NH (I assume you're out west) would be sort of expensive, no?scumdevils86 wrote:White Mountains

Ever been to Show Low, Pinetop, Greer, Alpine etc? It's all about a 3-4 hour drive from Tucson. Very doable.dcZONAfan wrote:Where do you live? I would think getting to NH (I assume you're out west) would be sort of expensive, no?scumdevils86 wrote:White Mountains

We usually go at least once a year. Get a few families together and rent a house right on the beach in Las Conchas. Between Christmas and New Years we rented this place with 6 other families:azgreg wrote:We've decided to go to Rocky Point. I haven't been there since 1988 and she hasn't been there since 1990.
Have a link for the house?Alieberman wrote:We usually go at least once a year. Get a few families together and rent a house right on the beach in Las Conchas. It's always amazing. I have a guy who delivers fresh tortillas, tamales, eggs, etc if you want his #. Also we've been doing this little cruise sail lately with Captain. Oscar.... who is an amazing human! It's like a 3 hour sail.... and all the beer and margaritas you want.... and it's pretty cheap. I highly recommend it!
