It’s always a good day to be a Wildcat.

But some days are better than others.

BTFD!

Poor OSU and Wazzu. They were right there to win baseball and basketball in the last year of the PAC-12 after they got screwed by realignment, but the 'Cats snatched both regular season titles.

Holy cow, I'll say. 1 right back to the pitcher by Roberts, a pop up that should've been caught right afterwards, then an o'fer including a 2 strike attempt for an out by Roberts again. I'm all for moving them over, but you gotta make it happen!

Gutsy win especially after watching the first two disastrous games, not cashing in on numerous runners in scoring positions during the first eight innings, failing behind in the ninth after the bullpen once again failed to put up a goose egg and then scoring two runs in the bottom of ninth against a pitcher with a sub two earned run average. Cam Walty was special when he absolutely needed to be—-a clutch performance to be sure. Good to see Summerhill get out of his late season slump. I wish Mason White would cut down his strike out rate. Hoping Jackson Kent can find his 2nd wind and that we can get Breyfogle and/or Adams back for the post season. (We need their bats). The Casey Hinz experiment as a center fielder was a failure especially at the plate as he failed to get a hit in the series or for that matter the season although to be fair he had less than 10 at bats coming into the series. Shaky as an outfielder too.

As far as postseason prospects are concerned, need to have all three starting pitchers on their game as I don’t trust anyone in the bullpen. And of course, we need to get our injured players back healthy and productive. Hopefully a win like this will be a springboard to newfound confidence.

I really think that was part of OSU's motivation in this series. Sure, they wanted a regular season conference title, and obviously that was by far the biggest deal. But, a little extra might have involved sticking it to one of the (many) schools that bailed out using all of the remaining parachutes. In any event, it's historic to win the last Pac-12 title. Going from (predicted) ninth to first and dealing with multiple injuries, I don't think we need to apologize too much for the earlier poor showings. And, it made things that much more dramatic.

There's an old baseball adage. Score as many runs you can today, but remember, the scoreboard resets back to zero tomorrow, and the runs don't carry over. The Beaves beat us 2 out of 3, but the Ls count the same if had lost both games by 1 each, or 100 each. And on Saturday, after the scoreboard reset, we beat them and won the pennant. That's baseball.

Cal is next up and they have really been playing well since we took two out of three from them.

We are in the semi final with the run tonight but we can still host a regional and Cal’s RPI is decent so we need this win

Only chance they have to host is to win the Pac-12 tournament. I don't believe tomorrow's game against Cal is that important, but a win would be nice.

If UofA beats Cal tonight, Oregon State will play tomorrow. If Cal wins, Oregon plays tomorrow and the Beavers go home.

Cal would win the A pod and Stanford won the B pod and can’t remember who won the C pod and we would be 1-1 but being the 1 seed gets us in over 1-1 OSU or any team 1-1 below us

ESPN U has it. Probably for the same reason every other conference championship has been on other networks, they actually want people to watch.

Pretty nice goodbye video they aired to end the network. I imagine when the lights go off they'll just re-air it.

ESPNU is showing the game. They had a nice sendoff after tonight's game, showing video from the last 12 years. They showed the Hail Mary vs Cal and even showed a shot of Sean Miller cutting down the nets.

As an ex umpire let give you a secret. There's never a tie.
