Damn, feels like another promising year that won’t end in going to OKC

Sucks and hope I am wrong but feels like wheels are coming off and this team can’t beat strong teams which has been a disturbing long term trend

The ump made the correct call. Reyna swung on the pitch that hit her.

As for my comment, I was informed by someone at the game that she tried to check her swing, and the ball hit her during that checked swing. Per my understanding of the rules, a checked swing is an effort to "get out of the way" of a thrown ball and isn't a strike when the batter is struck, but is an awarded base instead.

I imagine that is what Candrea was arguing when he went out there to talk with the ump.

Problem was the dumbass ump apparently ruled the ball hit the bat or at the very least hit her bat first (which from everything I'd heard, it didn't)

Javier said the catcher caught the ball. That is incorrect. After hitting Reyna, the ball dropped and rolled in front of the plate.

Checked in at 4th in the RPI after the sweep. Even if we get swept we're probably top 6ish in RPI. Win one vs UCLA and it's pretty much written in stone that we'd host Supers.
