I would give the ball to Netz for game 2. If she struggles early, bring in Bowen. I read Hannah has been dealing with a health issue, but it has not been revealed. It probably is not too serious since she has been pitching very well.

She still is displaying a noticable limp. (Knee/ankle??)

Her composure under stress (not getting any calls on the corners yesterday, the pain, and almost every inning with opposing runners in scoring position) has been off-the-board awesome!!!

What Lowe has done with this team the last month is amazing. She turned a terrible start in conference okay to 5 outs from going to Oklahoma City

Watching the postgame hug between Kaitlyn & Taryne brought tears to my eyes!

What a resiliant performance by the Cats in the past two weeks!!

(The last two weeks of May (and often the first two in June I’m all about Arizona Softball!!)

I've just gotta say: How perfect and poetic is it that ASU did their backflips over winning the Pac-12 and sweeping us while we finished last, getting to host straight on through, and that a team called Wildcats never let them leave home while we advanced to OKC? Also always amusing how the Republic pivots from fawning coverage to harumphing, sweeping it under the carpet, and quickly changing the subject to tiddly-winks, as though nobody will notice. They always build up the rivalry series...until their fanboy team doesn't do well in it. Meanwhile, it's always nice to beat ASU, and it sucks losing to them. But it's also great to beat a number of other teams...like Oregon, USC, UCLA, etc., and it also sucks to lose to them. However, the main thing is always post-season success. If we beat some team we don't like and then we don't make the post-season or flop in it, the win doesn't make me feel much better. But if we have a disappointing loss, or losses, to somebody in the regular season, then go on to great post-season success, the regular season doesn't mean much. The classic example is 1976 baseball. 7 straight losses to ASU, then we sent them home from Omaha and won the national championship. (But, hey, they won the rivalry series...woo-hoo.) Anyway, it's a nice sidebar story to this season which can be fleetingly enjoyed before moving on to bigger fish to fry. And now that they've been eliminated at home, the sun ****s are free to grudgingly watch, and no doubt desperately root against, the Arizona Wildcats who are still playing on ESPN.

I honestly don't think her job was in danger at that point - questions and doubts yes, but she would still have gotten one or two more seasons if the Cats lost in the regional...

... as it is, I believe she's cemented her tenure now!!

The other 7 teams are loaded with super Seniors still. We only had 5.9% of our offensive production come from a SS. That’s dead last from the 8 teams. pitching wise, Hannah Bowen gave us some innings as a SS but we were still last among the teams.

I am shocked we even made it into the tournament much less the fact we got to OKC. Let it fly gals

It's amazing that it went from total dumpster fire to WCWS.

I was going to give Lowe a pass in her first year but as it turns out she accomplished something that has never been done before.

Give her credit for getting her team to be accountable for a disappointing regular season and then somehow becoming "all in" and kicking ass in both the regional and supers.
