game 2 heading to extra innings. 0-0 after 7

And Denham goes all 8 innings, as the Cats win 2-0!

Shoutout to McQuillin and Denham last night, they pitched their asses off. GCU's pitchers are oddly tough and they certainly showed it last night.

Wow!! Anyone who doesn't think Taryne is the difference maker in this year's team isn't paying attention.

She has got her pitchers thrown by that change up for a strike and it is highly effective. I agree she has had a huge impact. Great to see

Bowen pitching. Cats down 0-1 after 2 innings. Bowen's already thrown 48 pitches.

Top of the 3rd, Harper with the two out RBI double ties it up!

GCU switches pitchers when we have 2 on and 2 out in the third. Kinda surprised at that. We get the bases loaded but can't get another 2 out hit.

1-1 into the bottom of the 3rd

Taryne had the best changeup i've ever seen in softball, so it's been awesome seeing her get our pitchers into throwing it. Not just throwing it, but being able to throw it for strikes too.

Bowen needs to stop hitting hitters. She's too high-volume with her pitch count to be putting batters on for free. Still she got out of a 2-on jam in the third

Bowen seems to have a good amount of Ks and a good amount of HBPs. Get rid of the latter and we have something to work with next year.

Yeah her riseball is nice and screwball is good when it doesn't run into right handed hitters. Will be nice to see her progress next year and hopefully those HBP's will drop way down

Could be her. Her rise ball in particular has nice velocity and late rise movement
(she's listed at 5'4 but...I'm not sure she's quite that tall lol)

As Choo points out, Schuld is also a short(listed as 5'3) pitcher with blonder hair lol

Bowen is a short dirty blonde pitcher and is a sophomore. I think you may be thinking of Schuld though.

Went to the game, this team is on fire. That Stanford team is very good and the Cats made them look average at best. For those that live in Tucson, you should come out and support them. Like I said earlier, this team is very talented, hitting and pitching. Plus, you can see the girls know that.

Alyssa gave up a homer in the 5th, and a hit, and we're bringing in Bowen. Kinda surprised.

That has got to be the worst announcer I've ever heard. Announcers should have emotion in their voice. This guy is monotone and puts you to sleep. To top it off no one is running the online scoreboard. You can't rely on the info there. Worst production of a sports event I've ever seen. At least the video is good.

If the Cats sweep Cal, which they certainly should, then 2 of 3 from both UCLA and UW wins us the conference. In that scenario UCLA would have a minimum of 3 losses in conference, and the Cats would have only 2.
