Have to sweep UW and can't lose more than 1 to UCLA to win the conference. I do find it amusing that Arizona, UCLA, & UW all lost a single game to a bottom feeder team in the conference to keep this race as close as it is (outside of UW being swept by UCLA).

Cal has two top pitchers, and the cats struggled. This is Pac-level talent, and our batters will be severely challenged the next two weeks also....

Cal's pitchers all have ERAs over 2.00. They're literally nothing special.

Here we go...............in a few minutes.

2 straight innings we get 2 girls on with 0 outs and walk away with nothing. Down 2-0 in the 4th.

3 innings we've had a girl on 2nd with no outs and zilch.

We lose tonight but so did UCLA.

If we dont win 2 of the next 5 games we're probably not going to be in position to host supers.

Certainly had our chances tonight. We can still take the series.

I'm getting that feeling too.

Just couldn't get the runners in when they had the chance. Losing to the #3 team by one is not the end of the world. I believe in this team and I am not worried at all. They are too good Playing Washington & UCLA to end the regular season is brutal but not will help them when they begin the postseason.

Finally, anyone know why Kean has not started the last two games? I know she pinch ran yesterday but they need her bat and speed in the lineup.

I couldn't even begin to fathom why. Coach sure does love putting in seldom used players in big series though (see Hanah Bowen vs FSU).

Word is Carranco has a broken hand. We ain't making the WCWS this year guys.
