Candrea maybe should have left the pitcher in both yesterday and today.

But then those 3 hitters were beating up Tooley today too.

Goddamn it, what I hate about softball is how seemingly random the balls off the bats are. That looked like a harmless popup like Mauga's last inning. Yet it's a 3-run HR? Can't tell what's going to be a hit or not!

Was there a reason we couldn't use Edior in that spot?

Either way Candrea will probably never have another team as good as this one. I don't think he makes another world series for the rest of his career. The 2017 class is an ok one, but nothing special, no pitching really. 2018 class so far is meh all players not in the top 100. I think this was it and Candrea blew it in more ways than one.

I will never root for a Baylor team. This has to be one of the most disappointing game's in Candrea's career.

You don't take out an effective pitcher because she gave up one double.

You don't intentionally put the tying run on base when you have a 2 run cushion.

Agreed. For better or worse, he has earned the right to leave when he wants to leave. That means Arizona softball is headed for some very lean years.

Irish, what do you think of this lineup?

C - Dejah Mulipola
1B - Alyssa Palomino (heard this is the likely move with her to help save her knees)
2B - Reyna Carranco
3B - Malia Martinez or Hanah Bowen or Peanut Martinez
SS - Jessie Harper
LF - Hillary Edior
CF - Jenna Keane
RF - Ashleigh Hughes
DP - Tamara Statman

SP - Taylor McQuillin
P - Hanah Bowen
P - Taylor Gilmore

I honestly have no idea what happens in the outfield nor at 3B, but the rest seems right.

I can't see Edior starting in the outfield, I think she will be coming off the bench. There are several players who can start in the outfield, one of those players could be Carli Campbell. Candrea likes speed and she possesses that.

Game one in the championship game(Oklahoma vs Florida) is in the 17th inning all tied up at 4. In the 12th inning Oklahoma scored on a 2-run homer and with two outs and two on in the bottom of the 12th inning, the Oklahoma head coach pulls the pitcher to bring in the girl who started the game and gives up a 2-run double to tie the game at 4.
