Alyssa pitched a great game, especially when things got tight with runners on base.
Harper's defense was fucking golden. (Not that the rest of the team did poorly, Malia gloved a hell of a fast hit ball too for example)
Alyssa (APC), Malia, Deja all bat .500 and each bomb a homer. Bottom of the order didn't produce as big today obviously, but Carli did manage to get on base and later scored. In other words, Bats were fucking great too.
Still hyped up. On to OKC! Fuck yeah!
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
And of course espn has to zoom in and linger on it. Give the girl her space you pack of jackals. ESPN blows.
Just wanted to chime on on this as I totally agree. No need for that bull shit. Fans gave her some good congrats after she made a good catch later in the game.
omg i just looked it up on the replay, those asshats at spn showed her like 4 fucking times on the field and then kept going when they were up to bat.
what the fuck

Only saw this post cause Irish quoted it.
Lol I admit when Reyna went down I thought we were done. Big props to Hanah Bowen for being very solid in Reyna's stead and big up to Reyna for being a warrior and coming back to bat.

Boy was I fucking wrong!
I really thought they were done too after Reyna went down and got swept by UW.
Lets go get some revenge on UW in OKC!

Especially after I watched UDub this weekend and there was pretty much complete control against UK. Not on purpose my ass... Oh, and nice kick save last night by the UDub Coach at third.
Well we know UDub wants to pitch us in to offset our power so some slight adjustments might help in the box. That said, I feel pretty good about this first game. They may have confidence in beating us 3 at home but we just didn’t get the timely hit. I also think with UCLA that next week we didn’t play them one at a time

And went 4-7.
Lost to Florida, Oklahoma, UCLA, and UW (once) by 1. The other 3 losses was a 5 run loss to Bama when we were still figuring out our lineup, 2 run loss to UW after trying to figure out our offense after Reyna was out, and then a 3 run loss to UW where the bats figured it out, but pitching failed us.

Exactly.
Our team isn't going to be wowed or scared by any of the other teams out there. We know what to expect, we know what to do. We're playing really well.
We can do this.

There's no doubt that we are playing our best ball right now and it's nice that Dunham pitched here best two games in her last tow games.
Who in the world was first team AA at SS? Hard to imagine a girl better than Harper

Justified? Leading college softball in HR’s is only one stat but she hits for average and seems to be a decent fielder

They give 1st team spots for at large positions too, so hard to imagine how Harper wasn't included there at least. Sis Bates is the superior fielder and has a better batting average, but Jess has 28 HRs to Sis's 0, has 69 RBIs to Sis's 29, and Jess has even scored more runs. Sis has 2 more doubles and 2 more triples, but yeah that point is absolutely moot when you consider the HR differential. I'd argue they both deserve 1st team, but outside of a gold glove type award there's no business for Sis to win the spot outright over Jess.
