Taylor McQuillin is the 2013-14 Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year. If the Cats can get some good pitching next year, they will be a top-5 team with almost the entire offense coming back.

I found a story about Taylor that I had no idea in that she is blind in one eye. She could become a fan favorite.

Found this article from The Daily Aztec but does not say if she was granted a release. I did notice it says red-shirt junior on the roster, so maybe she did not get her release and will have to sit out.

Uh, what's with that bubble wrap costume? Whatever, seems like we've got a good team this year. Hopefully Candrea can do some good things with this team.

Candrea signs 7 recruits. Went for power and gets one of the top pitchers in the country.

Cats landed 3 commitments in the 2026 yesterday in total. Hauser is probably the best of the group though.

Choo - what do you think the ceiling is for this team? I know we aren’t in the same class as the Oklahoma’s and Florida’s but how close are we to becoming a legit threat to get back to the WCWS?

All depends on pitching. Unless Ryan Maddox is truly the difference maker, I don't see much difference in the pitching at all. The incoming freshman wasn't touted highly at all and the transfer had a 4 ERA at Iowa State. To me it just seems they're kicking the can down the road and hope the bats carry them to the WCWS, which I guess is possible if the girls get a great matchup. I see another Super Regional and falling short personally.

Camila Zepeda, an All-American from Pima is walking on. She put up some impressive numbers. Nice pickup for a walk-on.

The Fall season has wrapped up. Sounds like they might be going with a pitching committee,
