Lowe gets a pitcher for 2023.
I think cause it's still only the #6 ranked class in the country. All 5 of these players committed to Arizona when Candrea was the coach. Lowe was able to keep them all committed.gronk4heisman wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 8:50 am Am I reading this correctly, that Arizona got 5 of the top 23 HS players? If so, why is that not being talked about more widely?
Janelle who? Cats are going to have a very strong outfieldChooChooCat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 5:25 am It looks like Ali Ashner, who was at U of A originally, but left to rehab a major knee injury and later became the JUCO POY, is back with Arizona.
Ashner had 21 Homers last year. I'd definitely get her bat in the lineup, at least at the DP spot.MrMeow wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 12:08 pmJanelle who? with that in mind, I see Ashner as an upgrade from Meono. Ashner, Kennedy, and Dimler in the outfield - oh yeah!ChooChooCat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 3:22 pmAshner had 21 Homers last year. I can't imagine a world where Perezchica isn't starting and leading off.MrMeow wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 4:51 amwith that in mind, I see Ashner as an upgrade from Meono. I doubt she plays much if at all this year honestly. Practicing with Mowatt is more beneficial than spending a year dominating softball in the Tucson High School circuit (she's already moved here), so I'm sure that's the plan. Gives us an emergency option as well of course.Irish27 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 7:36 pm This is huge. She is Extra Inning Softball’s No. 8 pitcher and No. 9 overall player in 2023. Plus, she is a lefty. In her three years at Elk Grove High, she had a minuscule ERA of 0.56. She struck out 552 batters in 310.2 innings pitched and went 35-9. In her final season in California, she set the Elk Grove single-season record by striking out 320 batters, blowing by the previous record of 269, https://www.azdesertswarm.com/softball/ ... strikeouts
Maybe? I think it could be improved, but I would hesitate to say dominant for sure.EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 9:57 am Please tell me our pitching will be much improved this year.
The best teams always have dominant pitching.
Just met her dad in the UofA clothing section at the new Scheel's in Chandler Fashion Square. Nice guy and proud papa.gronk4heisman wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 8:57 am Sounds like Lowe is hitting the trail hard in 2024, they already have commitments from the number 6 and 7 player in the class
