I thought they competed very well, especially as short-handed they were! I chalk up some of that offensive breakdown in the 2nd OT to tired bodies and brains.

I do think the overall quality of play, effort and defense speaks to players responding to coaching - not sure how that reflects on the concerns about player turnover.

I really enjoyed watching them compete against a decent team on the road!

Hope they can recover physically in tome for the Ducks...
The effort is definitely there. It's just going to be hard to win without depth. We get into foul trouble and fall apart at the end of games.

Just when you thought this weekend couldn't get any worse, the women lose again today.

All the drama with Adia coming out and being made public would just be the cherry on top of this weekend. Kinda hope it happens soon.

All these passive aggressive likes from Maya aren't a good look for her, either. If you have something to say, say it.

Heartbreaking loss tonight. Women trailed most of the game but finally took the lead late in the 4th. Game was tied at the end but Washington made a bucket with a little over 2 seconds left. Adia took a time out to advance the ball but we couldn't hit a 3 and lose.

Really would've been great if we could've got this game done. Fuck Fisch anyway.

Five consecutive games settled by one score - (1-4); only 8 available players. Really tough.

Great defense, lots and lots of missed easy shots.

Building for the future at this point - assuming that the premature departures end.

I'm really sad to see this for Pueyo's final season...

Instead of a close loss we got blown out today. At least this ends our road trip.

The three-year program she's in is at the U of A...

Maya just confirming what we've all suspected. If it wasn't for the financial issues I'd say the school should do something. But maybe after a few more years of players leaving and barely fielding a team we can get a non-toxic coach.

No, baseball runs a greater deficit
- Baseball = $-3,751,138
- Women's Basketball = $-3,578,363

And, only Football and Men's Basketball make a profit. ALL the others run on a deficit.

Meanwhile, they do have the third or fourth largest attendance of all U of A sports, correct?

And, the Women's Basketball program has an "excellent" graduation rate.

Here's the AD financial data: https://www.collegefactual.com/colleges ... fe/sports/

The best part of this win was the offsetting technicals when Martinez put a hand up in an ASU player's face.

Rivalry games are just the best.

Eh, the sycophants on FB are still not seeing reality through their Cardinal Red colored glasses and 8,000+ seats were sold (true, it was the school up north, but still…) for Sunday. That will not get Adia’s feet held to the fire. I don’t want these past few years to be an aberration, nor do I want Adia to fail. I just wish someone would tell her that being intransigent and dressing to the 9’s doesn’t make you Kim Mulkey (who will recover from this year quite nicely after Angel is gone).

I support Adia. If the players don't want to buy into her system, they should leave. It's not for everyone. If Adia had not been hired, this program would probably be fighting for last place every year and no one would be talking about it.

I support her as well... but if she doesn't look inward and learn something from this past year... she probably won't be here for long.

In last night's loss to USC, Esmery Martinez fouled out and had to be helped off the floor with 4:11 left in the game after getting hurt.
She looked to be severely hobbled, and was assisted straight to the locker room.

Any update on her injury/status?

So I just had a look at the PAC12 standings. They don't show school names like Washington, Arizona, etc. They show only team name.

At the top of the PAC12 standings are the Beavers and the Cougars.

The Wildcats and the Trojans are at the bottom.

[edit]
Um no sorry.

The report I was looking at was presented in absolute random sequence and I didn't notice. It was from a Bing search and my 14yo self was snickering too much to be sufficiently observant.

Stanford is on top, Beavers 2nd, USC 3rd. Arizona is in the middle of the pack.

Sorry.
