Esp since the men's team is ranked 4th.
Re: 2021-2022 Season
Finished second by only a 1/2 game over 3rd place UCLA last year and lost the best player in school history.

I don't know enough about the other teams to complain, but it's hard to imagine opponents coming into McKale feeling like they're facing a middle-of-the-road team.
Re: 2021-2022 Season
Pac-12 is stacked like the mens side was in ‘97.
Wait, did I just say this is just like ‘97??

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Apologies. I should never have referred to those broads that way.EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 2:36 pmYou also used the word "stacked" regarding women's basketball. Were you a Gruden understudy?

20-5 after 1
Adia has made 2 substitutions.
1- replacing all starters w/ bench
2 replacing backups with a complete other set of bench players
We are deep

Cats beat Eastern New Mexico 84-25 last night in an exhibition game. Looks like Ariyah Copeland is going to make a big impact this year.

Programming Note
The game this Friday against Louisville (in South Dakota) will be televised by ESPNU at 230 pm our time. That'll be the only time to see them on non-streaming TV prior to the Pac-12 season other than the Las Vegas game with Texas on December 19th on ESPN.

No doubt we're a top 10 team.

Up to #11 and yet somehow Louisville is still ranked ahead of us.

Well, they lost to a better team, ranking notwithstanding.

#9 in espn Power Rankings - highest Pac-12 school (one ahead of Stanford)

Team of the Week: Arizona
Maybe no one outside of Tucson was quite sure what to expect from the Wildcats after their magical season came up just short of an NCAA title in April. But Arizona has started 2-0, including the win over Louisville, and coach Adia Barnes isn't afraid to say she thinks the Wildcats will be pretty good. Are we surprised? Nope. Arizona proved too much last season to be doubted, regardless of personnel losses. Like Stanford and Louisville, Arizona also lost a key guard to the WNBA in Aari McDonald, but the Wildcats appear to have pivoted to being a stronger post team this season.

Our men's and women's teams should alternate being each other's scout teams.

Does anyone have a link to the next 3 games since I do not have ESPN 3?
Re: 2021-2022 Season
Stanford, UCLA, and Oregon St all lost yesterday.
Re: 2021-2022 Season
We should be the highest ranked Pac team come next week then. Nice.
